Jeff Bezos' romance with fiancée Lauren Sanchez amid divorce and affair rumours
News has emerged that Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is engaged to his glamorous girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez.
The 59-year-old got down on one knee to his Emmy Award-winning journalist girlfriend, 53, on board his $500million superyacht to pop the question, to which she said yes.
And while everything is smooth sailing now, things were rocky at the beginning for the pair, who first started dating in 2018 before Jeff's divorce from his ex-wife of 25 years, MacKenzie Scott, was finalised in 2019.
At the time, the National Enquirer magazine reported that they had both been cheating on their spouses, with news of their alleged affair coming to light due to the pair's shared interest in helicopters.
Former Fox News anchor Sanchez, who is a pilot herself and the owner of Black Ops Aviation, was reported to be with Jeff for the ninth test flight of the New Shepard rocket for his top-secret Blue Origin space enterprise at his Texas ranch in July 2018.

They started dating in 2018 (Getty Images)Bezos was reportedly in an eight-month affair with Lauren who split from her husband, talent agency boss Patrick Whitesell in the autumn of 2018. They share two children together.
The two families were said to have been firm friends beforehand, with Lauren actually being introduced to Jeff via her husband, who is an agent to Hollywood's A-listers, such as Hugh Jackman and Matt Damon.
A source told New York Post at the time: "Patrick and Lauren have socialised with Jeff Bezos and his wife for a few years because both [now former] couples have houses in Seattle.
"Then Lauren was hired to work on one of Bezos' projects, 'Blue Origin,' a space-launch company, as a helicopter pilot. She has been shooting aerial shots for Bezos."

But the story is completely wrong and out of order. MacKenzie and I have had good, healthy adult conversations about it. She is fine. The kids are fine. The media is having a field day. All of this is very distracting, so thank you for being focused on the business."
Entertainment host Lauren has since raved about Jess, telling WSJ. Magazine: "He's so happy, he inspires me every day, he makes me a better person every day; he's the most loving human I know."
Lauren also paid tribute to Jeff in a post to mark his birthday earlier this year. She described him as "the man of [her] dreams, who lights up [her] world with his laughter and kind heart."

She concluded the caption, which had accompanied photos of the couple together, by writing: "Te amo con todo mi corazon". It translates to: "I love you with all of my heart".
