Body found in search for missing Luis Piovesana, brother of Olympic judoka

Police searching for missing Luis Piovesana have sadly found a body.
The search for the missing 26-year-old was launched after he went missing in the early hours of Friday.
He had last been seen on CCTV at Eastgate Retail Park in Bristol at around 3am.
His sister Lubjana Piovesana, 28, who competed in judo for Team GB, appealed for help with the search as her brother had gone missing without his phone or any money.
More than 100 police officers were involved in the search, with family members travelling from as far as Birmingham to help.
Avon and Somerset Police have now confirmed a body was found in the River Frome, in the Napier Road area of Eastville, at about 6pm on Monday.

A force spokesperson said: ‘While formal identification has not yet taken place, detectives have met with Luis’ family and updated them.
‘Our thoughts remain with them during this incredibly difficult time and they continue to be supported by specialist officers.’
Luis arrived at Eastgate Retail Park after getting a taxi there from a venue in Little Ann Street, about a 10-minute drive away.
Mounted officers and police drones were also used to search for him, while divers searched the River Frome near the M32.

Sister Lubjana competed for Team GB before switching to the Austrian team.
Paying tribute to her brother on social media, she said: ‘Hello everyone, Luis has been found. We are completely devastated but he has passed away.
‘I am grateful for everyone’s support. And I am so sorry this has happened.
‘Luis was my little brother and loved by everyone. I wish he could have seen the love from everyone.
‘He will be remembered by us all.’
