Oliver Large has revealed he was left feeling as though he was going to "vomit" before an ex-partner walked along the MTV beach.

The Bexhill-on-Sea-born personality, 28, found himself wracked with nerves not knowing who from his past might appear and cause sparks to fly.

Last week, viewers saw a whole host of new faces go on the hunt for love in the new series, Ex on the Beach UK: The One That Got Away but all is not plain sailing.

This year, some familiar faces from the world of Geordie Shore, First Dates and Are You The One UK are hoping to find their perfect match.

Speaking about the nerves ahead of their ex arriving, Oliver said: "For me, vomiting, I was nauseous by my toenails, my fingernails, I really was.

"I didn't think I would be, I thought I would be very coy and quiet chill but my I don't remember my legs stopping, they were just shaking."

Meanwhile, Welsh beauty Chloe added: "I remember in the beginning, I was enjoying myself, I was so happy, I was buzzing.

"Then I remembered throughout the time I was slowly becoming quieter and I wasn't being myself as much because I knew my time was coming in and I couldn't relax and I couldn't let go.

"I couldn't keep the connection going that I had with someone because I knew something was coming for me and I knew it was going to go off."

"I don't think there was enough drink in the villa to prepare you," joked fitness coach Charlie, before adding: "I was always wanting top ups," while Chloe explained that he was "stealing people's drinks" to calm the nerves.

However, it wasn't all drama as eyelash technician Charlotte said: "I'm quite chilled, with all my exes, I've ended things or they've ended things and it's been civil.

"I don't really hold grudges, my motto is I don't stress about situations that I'm not in control over and obviously, I wasn't in control over that situation.

"That scene when your ex comes, I was like 'OK I'm stressing now, it's actually happened', but until then I was enjoying myself not having my ex there, I guess."

Reflecting on their first encounter with their exes, Junior commented: "I definitely think the main the main worry and the villa in total was just the unknown and the lack of control.

"Having nothing, not being able to sit down and listen to music in the morning which was an issue for me, so it's just the lack of control."

However, Chloe joked that the hardest part of being in the villa was walking to the beach as they had no idea what reception was waiting for them, explaining there could have been "riots".
