Solskjaer picks Ten Hag's successor as Man Utd suffer Liverpool transfer blow
Manchester United are edging towards securing a spot back in the Champions League after they got back to winning ways.
The Red Devils overcame Wolves at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon - Anthony Martial and Alejandro Garnacho both getting on the scoresheet. The victory leaves Erik ten Hag’s side sitting fourth in the Premier League with a four-point lead over nearest rivals Liverpool.
With just a clutch of league games left, as well as the FA Cup final face-off with Manchester City, there’s still time to make their season even more successful. Take a look at the latest headlines coming out of Old Trafford:
Solskjaer names Ten Hag replacement
Former Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping for continued success under Ten Hag but is expecting former Red Devil Michael Carrick to replace him.
"I mean this with my whole heart: I’m sure he will be the manager of Manchester United one day,” Solskjaer explained.

Man Utd handed Liverpool transfer blow
John Barnes claims he has heard that Virgil van Dijk has 'told' Jurrien Timber to snub Manchester United and join him at Liverpool - just as he did with Cody Gakpo.
He told Soccer News: “Of course, I know that he played together with Van Dijk in the Dutch national team and according to the latest rumours Van Dijk has told him that he has to go to Anfield. He is a good player and would therefore be a good asset to Liverpool.
“Virgil is already over 30 and he will not stay with the club forever. So in the long term, it’s not just about coming to the Reds to form a duo with Van Dijk.”

Ten Hag sets Garnacho challenge
Ten Hag has challenged Garnacho to find a regular role in the Man United first team after marking his return with a goal.
Speaking after the win over Wolves, he said: “Once again, he did it. He has had a big impact in many games: whether starting or coming on, he’s straight into the game and that’s so important for the squad.
"I’m happy we can bring in young players and, hopefully, he will progress so quickly that he can compete for a starting XI position because that is his next challenge."
