David Walliams wants to 'work with John Cleese' in Fawlty Towers reboot
David Walliams has shared his wish to work with John Cleese in the upcoming Fawlty Towers reboot.
The former Britain's Got Talent judge left the show last November after recordings leaked in which he could be heard making derogatory remarks about contestants. David later issued an apology over the comments.
After leaving BGT the former judge, who joined the show in 2012, has been focusing on his own projects.
And now, the 51-year-old admitted he'd love to work alongside John on the Fawlty Towers reboot – which was announced earlier this year.
He claimed that, in his opinion, the 83-year-old Monty Python star can 'do no wrong'.

He went on to say that old-school comedies still have a place in the modern world and added that his son is a fan of them.
"I look at all those things. I’m not sure you could do them, but you’d get criticism for it," David added to The Sun.
Earlier this year, it was announced that David and Matt Lucas were reuniting for a new comedy show after moving on from their eight-year feud.
The comedic duo worked together on Little Britain, Come Fly With Me as well as a Little Britain special called Little Brexit.
Matt revealed they are 'brainstorming' a brand new TV show after they insisted they 'quit' their other TV projects.
Speaking on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on Radio 2 in January, the former Great British Bake Off star said: "So me and David Walliams have started writing together again, we just thought, it’s time, it’s time.
"So we’ve sort of quit our jobs and decided to do that."
Just last month, the two got together to spend the evening at Elton John's concert.
David took to his social media to share a snap of the duo wearing light-up glasses at Elton's gig.
