Marcus Rashford "completely unaware" after remarkable personalised plates mix-up
Manchester United and England star Marcus Rashford has been driving a £280,000 supercar – with the number plate for a Skoda.
A supplier mix-up meant his McLaren 765 Long Tail – once the quickest modern production car – was delivered with a personalised plate registered to a Skoda Citigo, DVLA checks revealed. Priced at £8,365 to £11,910, the Citigo is lauded as “a little car which provides big value for money”.
It comes with remote central locking, a CD player, four airbags, electric front windows and stability control – “but little else”, according to industry reviews. By contrast, the 765LT has has a top speed of 205mph, hitting 60mph in 2.1 seconds and 124mph in just seven seconds.

The plate meant for the star’s motor will now be delivered to him.

His spokesman and United were approached for a comment, but declined to do so.
Red-hot Rashford is now just one goal short of his best-ever season tally, having scored 22 during the 2019-20 season.

The plates on his car were meant for this SkodaTen Hag, who has revitalised the 25-year-old following his arrival at Old Trafford this term, is hoping that his main man remains hungry for more goals, as Carabao Cup finalists United look to secure a first trophy since 2017.
"I don't know when it will stop but if you are satisfied with it, then it will," said Ten Hag on Sunday.
"And because satisfaction goes to laziness, you have to keep investing every day. When he keeps the investment and keeps the focus in every game and brings the energy and belief in, he will keep scoring. He has the skills to score with right, with left and with his head. It's about him getting into position."
