Conor McGregor showed off an expensive range of Gucci clothing after successfully backing Aljamain Sterling to beat UFC rival Henry Cejudo.

McGregor is expected to make his own UFC comeback after spending nearly two years out of action, with his return fight set to take place against Michael Chandler this year. The Irish star has become heavily invested in other fights within the promotion, particularly against long-term rivals including bantamweight star Henry Cejudo.

'Triple C' drew McGregor into a feud during fight week criticising him for his actions online, which saw the former two-weight champion place a bet on his rival Sterling at UFC 288 for the main event. And it was the Jamaican who successfully defended his title winning by decision after five rounds.

And after the showdown McGregor tweeted a video, which he later deleted, which saw him showing off a new luxury designer outfit from Gucci while describing his wager. He wrote with the video: "Easiest money I've ever made. Not a scratch on Aljo! Congrats Funkmaster! Good little fighter is Henry but give it a rest with these agendas all the time.

"The guy is sub 20 fights in his career. His little feints an' all ahaha omg please teach me mastermind lol. Done the splits like a stripper and got dumped on his ass he did hahaha oh lord it's tasty, @ProperWhiskey." He later continued his rant mocking Cejudo on the video, in which he spoke about the fight, adding: “Congrats, Funk Master. Great fight.

"I knew you were going to win that fight, my man. Easiest money I’ve ever made. I already went shopping in advance and everything is Gucci. You know yourself – fresh gear. Let me show you what’s what. Coach Mac Daddy in the place, show you what’s popping. Henry, this one’s for you my man. Some of the things – oh my god. You blew my (mind). I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

“I was like, ‘This guy is a f**king genius!’ If you’d have just done it like this you would have taken him to the cleaners, my man. But anyway, you know yourself, Coach Mac Daddy won’t charge you a fee because I’m already set.”

McGregor's comments came after Cejudo had suggested he would not coach him following his comments aimed at rival Khabib Nurmagomedov. It is unlikely the pair would have worked together anyway given their new feud, which the Irishman will likely continue in the coming days.

The 34-year-old will be hoping to return to form with a win later this year given he has lost three of his last four fights including two against Dustin Poirier. A win could see him placed into contention for a title shot of his own given his profile, which will likely come at 170lb against current champion Leon Edwards.
