Abbey Clancy has revealed her trick with her dressing gown which confuses frisky husband Peter Crouch when she is drying her hair.

Abbey, 37, said she used to dry her hair in the nude due to the heat from the hairdryer. However, the former England international striker could not keep his hands off his leggy model wife, which led to him being banned from the bedroom when she is getting ready.

Peter, 42, continued his amorous advances towards the mother of his four children, but she foiled him with her "double locking" dress gown trick.

Speaking on the couple's Therapy Crouch podcast, Abbey revealed: "It drives me insane. I’ve come up with a new tactic with the dressing gown.

"Instead of tying the belt at the front, I tie it at the back. It’s like ‘how do I untie this thing?’. It works a treat."

When asked by her ex-Premier League footballer husband why she wouldn't want his affection, Abbey responded: "I do. Any other time is fine, but not when I’m getting ready.

"But it’s nice to know that you’re still desirable to your husband after 16 years."

Last month, the celebrity couple opened up about their "terrifying" ordeal during the Easter school holidays with their eldest child Sophia.

The 12-year-old was rushed to hospital in Portugal while on a family holiday after contracting a potentially fatal virus.

Sophia became unwell with meningitis, which causes inflammation to the layers of tissue covering the brain and around the spinal cord.

However, while the virus is rarely a deadly condition, some people who contract it can suffer lifelong effects which could alter their way of life.

Those experiencing symptoms should be treated immediately in a bid to get the virus under control. Abbey and Peter's son, Jack, three, was also experiencing coughing symptoms on the family retreat.

Opening up about the "horrific" experience on their podcast, Abbey said: "The school holidays have been tough.

"We got to Portugal and Sophia was in hospital with meningitis which was just the scariest thing on earth.

"Being in a foreign hospital, language barriers, the words like meningitis being thrown around, lumbar punctures, brain scans.

"It was horrific - I felt so vulnerable - and scary. But I must say the medical care over there were just out of this world."
