A Jerry Springer Show guest has come forward to give her condolences following the death of the TV host and share their experience on being on the programme.

It was announced that Jerry, aged 79, had passed after a battle with pancreatic cancer. A statement issued on Thursday explained that the loss will "hurt immensely."

"Jerry's ability to connect with people was at the heart of his success in everything he tried whether that was politics, broadcasting or just joking with people on the street who wanted a photo or a word," family spokesman, Jene Galvin said.

"He's irreplaceable and his loss hurts immensely but memories of his intellect, heart and humour will live on."

Sheryl Recinos, a guest from the show which ran from 1991 until 2018, shared a tweet in light of Jerry's passing but shared her experience on his popular chat show which touched on controversial topics such as incest and adultery and featured profanity, physical fights, nudity, and scantily clad guests.

The show was introduced as the "worst show on TV" by Jerry himself and was made to be an example of "trash TV."

However, Sheryl spoke revealed the negative effects of the show and claimed to have been "exploited" throughout her time on-air.

Starting off a Twitter thread, she wrote: "RIP Jerry Springer. Still annoyed that you exploited me and a bunch of other homeless teens but Rest In Peace."

Sheryl went on to claim that Jerry was "mean" on the show and introduced them to a "fake psychologist" after she was heckled by the audience under Jerry's command.

"I only agreed to go on the show because he said he’d pay us $200. He was mean on the show and kept getting the audience to yell at us, then brought out some fake psychologist and gave us $100 in ones," she added.

"Steve guarded the door while he ran out of the building by the time we’d counted the money, he was gone."

Sheryl, who was 17-years-old at the time of her TV appearance, added: "I’d been pregnant at the time and really thought I had to take this 'opportunity' for the baby.

"Didn’t have a 'baby.' It was a molar pregnancy and it broke me. I couldn’t even get pregnant right. Not that I’d been trying but hey, that’s what my traumatized 17yo brain thought."

She then ended her message with a plea to readers to help end youth homelessness, concluding her thread with: "Anyway if you’d like the read my story I included details about that episode in my memoir. And please help me end youth homelessness. Please."
