An 'idiotic' man grappled with McDonald's staff and allegedly threw a wooden broom into hot oil as he was egged on by his 90,000 TikTok followers.

The account named Out Of Society has earned millions of likes on the social media platform for filming himself carrying out shockingly dangerous acts, sometimes accompanied by other masked men.

One video posted on Sunday shows the user take a broom from a McDonald's worker, rush into the kitchen and appear to submerge its head in what appears to be boiling-hot fat.

A member of staff at the store rushes over and tries to grab it from him, leaving the broom to swing out of the fryer.

Another baffling clip sees his apparent obsession with brooms continue as he stands on top of a skyscraper and throws two over the side to fall hundreds of feet to the floor.

And in another video posted in late March, the TikToker is seen allegedly riding on the roof of a fire engine in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. When workers pleaded with him to get down he simply replies: "No, shut up you."

Yorkshire Police have since confirmed they've arrested three men in their 20s on suspicion of outraging public decency as a result of the fire engine incident and they've been released on bail.

The man in the videos appears to alter his voice when he speaks on the videos and on his Instagram account he poses wearing a balaclava to conceal his identity.

Despite the content's dangerous nature, they've racked up more than 10 million views and 1.6 million likes since December 2022.

Users have called him their 'new favourite TikToker' and admit they 'love this guy', while one even begged for him to reply to one of their messages that hailed him a 'legend'.

Others have blamed TikTok for allowing the videos on the platform and for allowing the user to become an 'influencer'.

The account, which also included videos of a man walking around shops and theme parks after closing time, was only removed after TikTok were contacted by reporters.

The platform claims they don't accept 'content depicting dangerous acts that could lead to serious harm'.

One social media user said: "My new favourite TikToker. Hilarious." Another said: "I know this is wrong, but this is so funny."

In response to the McDonald's post, a third claimed: "This is the funniest TikToker I've seen in a long time."

However, another said: "Can we as a society form this unspoken rule that if there are one of these 'influencers' that are terrorising working folk we can throw their phone into the garbage?"

A second said: "He's also mockingly imitating people with certain disabilities, which is about the lowest thing a person can do."

A third added: "That idiot deserves to get knocked out."

TikTok said they are open about the fact that they won't catch every instance of violative content, which is why they continue to invest at scale in their 'Trust and Safety' operations.

A TikTok spokesperson said: "We have removed this account for violating our community guidelines, which make clear that we prohibit content that depicts dangerous or illegal acts.

"We have over 40,000 talented safety professionals, dedicated to upholding our guidelines, who identify, review and remove content or accounts that violate them."

In Q4 2022, TikTok claim to have identified and removed 96 per cent of content that violated their Community Guidelines before they were reported, 91 per cent within 24 hours and 85 per cent before anyone had viewed the content.

A McDonald's spokesperson said: "The safety of our people and our customer's is our priority, and we have a zero-tolerance policy towards any behaviour that puts this at risk.

"This incident was totally unacceptable and it is disappointing to see a customer behaving in such an irresponsible manner."

A statement from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We are aware of a TikTok video showing a man on the roof of one of our fire engines.

"The appliance was travelling through Scarborough at around 7.30pm last night when he climbed on top of it. This was unauthorised and as soon as he was spotted, the appliance was safely brought to a stop.

"Our crew checked for injuries before expressing their concerns around the dangerous behaviour.

"The man, who was joined by two others on foot, became verbally aggressive and abusive towards our crew. Treating our staff in this way is completely unacceptable and this matter has been reported to North Yorkshire Police.

"We know most people would know how reckless this behaviour was, it could have led to some very serious injuries, if not worse.

"But we are well aware of the power of social media. If your children have viewed this footage, please talk to them about how dangerous this behaviour is - if we had received an emergency call, we could be writing a very different statement this morning."

North Yorkshire Police said: "You may have seen a video on TikTok where a man was seen on the top of a fire engine in Scarborough.

"We can now confirm three men in their 20s have been arrested in connection with this.

"They have been arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency and public order and have been released on bail.

"The video was filmed at around 7.30pm last night and as soon as the man was spotted by firefighters, the appliance was brought safely to a stop.

"Three men then became verbally aggressive and abusive towards the firefighters before they left the scene.

"We have already spoken with several witnesses but if anyone else has information which may assist with our investigation, please contact us quoting reference 12230055973.

"Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
