Sony have quietly added four more titles into the lineup of games leaving PS Plus in May 2023, including three of the best Batman titles.
While we already knew of 30 games leaving PS Plus in May 2023, the full list was announced alongside the PS Plus Premium and Extra games lineup for April 2023. We already knew that some heavy hitters like Resident Evil and Marvel's Spider-Man. Sony aren't done yet, as four more games have been quietly added to the list of games leaving PS Plus on May 15, 2023, all from publisher Warner Bros. Games.
Batman fans are in for a disappointing time, as three of the caped crusader's best video game adventures have been added to the chopping block. The duo of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, which are included in the Batman: Return to Arkham Collection, are leaving PS Plus Premium (although this title was only available in the US before now). These two are generally considered to be two of the best superhero games ever made, and represent the peak of Batman in video games.
Another great Batman-adjacent title leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium is Injustice 2 which pits all manner of DC heroes and villains (and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?) against each other in a 1v1 fighting game from Mortal Kombat creators NetherRealm Studios. The game boasts an in-depth story mode penned by comic writer Shawn Kittelsen, and is one of the best variants of the old-as-time Batman vs Superman feud.
Finally, there's the Lego Harry Potter Collection leaving PS Plus Premium, which collects both Lego Harry Potter games into one. However, if you've played one Lego game you've played them all, and thankfully there's a sale on some of the far better Lego titles like Lego Marvel Super Heroes and Lego DC Super Villains on the PlayStation store right now. Plus there's a 2-hour trial available of the fantastic and underrated Lego City Undercover available on PS Plus Premium.
