TOWIE star's restaurant targeted by vandals days after doorman is killed

Elliott Wright's restaurant was attacked by vandals just days after a security team member was killed after reportedly trying to stop a fight.

The front of his eatery, Olivia's La Cala, has been branded with red spray paint with slurs written in Spanish.

It's believed the words include "Mafia" and "Asesino Elliott" which translates to "Killer Elliott" – but it is not clear whether the businessman who previously appeared on The Only Way Is Essex has reported the incident to police, or if the venue is closed out of respect.

Elliott, 43, said his "heart was broken" after his staff member and friend had died.

Since the incident, which saw the security guard die in intensive care, a man has been arrested in Malaga in connection with his death.

"We have arrested a man," a Civil Guard spokesperson said, with reports suggesting he is being held on suspicion of manslaughter.

Dad-of-two Jose Rafael Pisani Pardo died on Sunday night, two days after the incident, with reports claiming a British man had been held by the local police, although this is yet to be confirmed.

Local reports about the weekend tragedy say the doorman hit his head on the corner of a table as attempted to intervene in a brawl.

Sources said Jose hit the back of his head on the floor and not a table, despite initial claims, saying he went down as he tried to remove one of the punters from the bar.

One local said: "The local reports talk of a group of people fighting but it was between two people.

"The doorman went down as he tried to eject one of the two men."

While a second went on to say:" Elliott had a great relationship with the dead guy and is devastated at what's happened.

"He had worked for him for two years, there was an argument between two people in the restaurant and he\s fallen on the floor and hit his head after intervening.

"It looks like he slipped after one of the guys he was kicking out pushed or punched him but that's something the police are still investigating. He landed awkwardly and banged his head as he fell backwards.

"The ambulance took about 45 minutes to an hour to come and he was rushed to the hospital.

"He had swelling on the brain and brain damage because of a lack of oxygen and they said at the hospital he was brain dead," before explaining his life support machines were switched off on Sunday.

It's reported that local police took CCTV footage away and took down statements from staff on Sunday.
