Kate Abdo delivers brutal Micah Richards dig leaving Jamie Carragher in stitches
TV presenter Kate Abdo marked her return to the CBS Sports studio by issuing some brutal banter in Micah Richards' direction.
Abdo was joined by pundits Richards, Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry on Tuesday for the first leg of Manchester City's Champions League tie with Bayern Munich. The competition is shown in the United States on CBS Sports, with Abdo leading the coverage.
Abdo has built a rapport with Richards, Carragher and Henry in recent years. She always likes to make a cheeky dig at Richards during her introduction to the programme... and the former Sky Sports host did not disappoint ahead of City's quarter-final clash.
Abdo told viewers in the United States: "A very warm welcome along to our London studio!
"I'm Kate Abdo joined by Champions League winner with Barcelona Thierry Henry, Champions League winner with Liverpool Jamie Carragher, and the man who had a great view from the bench when Sergio Aguero won the Premier League for Manchester City - 'Big Meeks', Micah Richards."
Marcel Sabitzer completes Man Utd transfer after last-minute deadline day dashAbdo was referring to City's title triumph 11 years ago, when Aguero scored a last-minute winner against Queens Park Rangers. Richards was on the bench for that game and has previously expressed his frustration at Pablo Zabaleta being picked ahead of him.

Abdo returned to the CBS Sports studio after missing the last round of Champions League fixtures through illness. Jules Breach filled in but didn't take aim at Richards in her intro. Instead, Breach listed Richards' achievements and said he "burst onto the scene". Richards famously made that claim during one of his early appearances on punditry.
Richards replied to Breach: "That's how you do an intro, that's why we don't want Kate here... You can come every week Jules!"
Yet Abdo was quick to remind Richards of that comment on her return to the studio. She mimicked the former defender by saying: "Jules is so nice, Jules is so great."
After Abdo's latest remark, Richards insisted he "earnt a lot of money sitting on the bench". Carragher then got involved in the banter. He asked his fellow pundit, "[By] doing nothing?" When Richards said "yeah", Carragher remarked, "Bit like you here."
As the studio laughed, the cheeky digs towards the helpless pundit stopped when Arsenal legend Henry told Richards his suit was "on point". The former England international responded by posing for the camera and declaring, "I look magnificent today!"
Sadly for Richards, his good looks were overshadowed by Rodri's stunning goal at the Etihad. The Spain international gave Pep Guardiola's side the advantage during the first half of Tuesday's game by hitting a delightful left-footed effort into the top corner.
