Paul was excited for 'new beginnings' in tragic last interview

Paul talked about 'new beginnings' and 'good luck' in the final interview he gave before his tragic death.

The late star had been excited to go on the 25th-anniversary reunion tour with S Club 7 later this year.

Two months ago, Paul took part in a press conference with his bandmates to announce the reunion.

The star, who was also a tarot card reader, said he consulted with the cards to see what his and his bandmates' future held.

"I saw wheel of fortune - that's good, that's good luck. I genuinely did look at the cards," he said.

He told MailOnline: "There were other cards as well, ace of clubs - passion, new beginnings, your cup over-runneth with genuinely passionate emotion.

"It's positivity - something to be passionate about."

Paul shared a Eurovision Song Contest Comic Relief skit just a few weeks before his shocking death this week.

In March, Paul shared his last post, which featured a Red Nose Day skit about searching for the UK's next Eurovision entry.

The Reach singer posted a short clip of the skit that saw him and other stars come together to compete for a place in the song contest.

He appeared in the charity video with Graham Norton, Sam Ryder, Miranda Hart and Dermot O'Leary.

In the short clip, judges Graham, Lulu and Sam said they were on "the hunt" for the UK's next Eurovision entry.

Lulu quipped: "You won't believe who's trying to get in on the action."

The camera then cut to a host of stars walking into the audition room, including Paul and singer Fleur East.

Paul simply tagged S Club 7 as well as Red Nose Day's official Instagram page.

His death is believed to have come as a 'massive shock' and the mum-of-two is said to 'absolutely devastated' - particularly as she had just rekindled her friendship with her former partner.

A source close to Hannah Spearritt claims: "She is absolutely devastated.

"Hannah is inconsolable. This came as a massive shock, and she is struggling to believe he is no longer with us."

"Just as they rekindled their friendship, the worst happened. The band are all in pieces."
