Jake Paul has claimed Tommy Fury is contradicting himself after citing personal matters for his press conference absence.

The YouTube star will finally settle his bitter feud with ex-Love Island contestant Fury in Saudi Arabia on February 26 at the third attempt. The pair have been exchanging verbal barbs through the vast majority of Paul's boxing career, but are yet to touch gloves with Fury pulling out of both of their previous meetings.

Paul flew to Saudi Arabia this week to attend a press conference to launch their boxing clash, but his rival Fury was unable to attend which saw him left fuming on social media. And the YouTube star has been left confused by his rival's reasoning, and has vowed to make him pay later this month.

"When you sign up to do something and you make a commitment that is what it should be about," Paul said at the solo press conference to announce their fight. "It just shows me he is scared because he said he didn't need to train for this fight. But meanwhile his excuse first was that he had to train extra to fight me. And now apparently it is a private matter.

"It is typical Fury stuff to be honest. I love Tyson but I'm saying the dad and Tommy it is typical from them. This fight goes three to four rounds, the kid has never been tested. He has never been in a hard fight. The combined record of his opponent is 20 wins and about 200 losses and I have two chips on my shoulder. He has been spoon-fed and piggy-backed off his brother.

"He got famous off of some reality show, and he is now trying to get a pay cheque so Molly isn't making all the money in the relationship. But I am going to show him on February 26 that this is a hard business and he is certainly not going to like the sport when I am done with him."

Fury withdrew from their last two fights after breaking his rib before being unable to travel to the US for their planned clash in August last year. However Paul, after much deliberation, decided to rekindle the fight and pursue the rivalry over other options including a meeting with Nate Diaz.

And the Briton had previously suggested that he wouldn't need a training camp to beat Paul, who he believes he is levels above due to his natural boxing background. "There is no chance or no way that he can beat me in a fight," Fury told BT Sport Boxing."Not through Monday to Sunday, there is no way in the world because even if I didn't train for this my heart alone would get me through this. Not a problem, he is useless. I've got a plan from A-Z for this man, there is a million things he is going to fall for."
