Natalie Cassidy shows 'beetroot face' in update ahead of London Marathon
Natalie Cassidy has shared an update on her training for the London Marathon, ahead of taking on the race with some of her colleagues in a couple of weeks.
The actor, 39 - who is best known for playing Sonia Fowler on EastEnders - will be running the annual marathon in London later this month as part of Babs' Army.
The team - established in memory of the late Dame Barbara Windsor - are fundraising in aid of Alzheimer's Research UK ahead of taking part in the upcoming event.
Barbara - who played Peggy Mitchell on the BBC soap opera - had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease back in 2014. She sadly died six years later in 2020, aged 83.
Natalie shared an update on her marathon training in a video that was uploaded to Instagram yesterday by an account on the platform that is dedicated to Babs' Army.

She said: "Just a quick hello from beetroot face. I know you enjoyed my redness so I just thought I'd show you this morning that my face is a completely different colour to my neck. I haven't put any makeup on."
Natalie - who has been sharing updates on her own account in recent weeks too - added: "I went for a very short by fast run. Feeling good. And yeah, happy Tuesday!"
The actor previously took part in the London Marathon back in 2019 and she was understood to have lost three stone at the time amid her training for the event.
Babs' Army - led by Barbara's widower Scott Mitchell, 60 - will be taking part in the London Marathon on April 23. The team includes several of the late actor's former co-stars.
Natalie will be joined by the likes of Jake Wood, 50, Lacey Turner, 35, Adam Woodyatt, 54, Tanya Franks, 55. Other runners include Bake Off winner Candice Brown, 38.
