EastEnders' Natalie Cassidy admits to not having a shower for three days

Natalie Cassidy has admitted she hasn’t showered for three days after her busy schedule took over and she was struck down by illness.

The EastEnders actress revealed she last washed on Saturday before finally bathing again today after a hectic few days.

The busy mum to two daughters Eliza, 11, and Joanie, six, took to her Instagram to make the confession, lifting the lid on her crazy schedule as a working parent.

The 39-year-old telly star joked she was able to save money on bills as she neglected to wash for three days.

Posting a video to her 230K Instagram followers, Natalie explained: “You know I've always said I'll be honest on here, so here goes. I just realised, when drying my hair, that the last time I had a shower and washed my hair was Saturday.

“I'm the worst mum for saying, 'You've gotta have a shower Eliza, don't be soapy, get upstairs. You've got to have a shower everyday, it's really important,' but Saturday to Tuesday?”

The soap star then gave a breakdown of her life the last few days.

“Now, hear me out. Saturday, I had my hair coloured and then I got in the shower, that was about four o'clock,” she explained.

“Sunday, I had a house full, very busy. Yesterday, I was really, really ill. And then this morning, got up, had the kids.

“Done stuff in the house and had a shower. How bad is that though? When you're not well you don't fancy it do ya?”

In the caption of the clip, Natalie said she was “keeping it real”.

She wrote: “Had to tell you this one.

“Terrible really but yesterday was a write off and I’ve been busy this morning. Feel a lot better. Not suprising having had a wash. My daughter would kill me if she knew. #truth #keepingitreal #feelinggood #waterbillsaving #showergelsfull”

As Natalie explained her reasoning for the lack of bathing, her fans shared their support as they assured her in the comments that “we’ve all been there”.

Quick to comfort Natalie with shower woes, one wrote: “Is it bad that I don't see anything wrong with that?”

Another penned: “Nah. That’s a regular occurrence for me. ill or not!”

A third assured: “Lol, we’ve all done it.”

Earlier this week, Natalie made another personal confession as she admitted that one of the perks of having a nanny is being able to go to the pub.

When she's not waltzing around Walford as Sonia Fowler, the mum-of-two enjoys a night out at her local, which is full of EastEnders fans.

Speaking about the importance of having some 'me time', Natalie said: "You've got to make time for yourself.

"So I've got a nanny and I've got minimum hours I've got to pay her a week and if I'm not busy I make sure I get a pub night in.

"I don't go every week and I try not to drink on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday," reports Jam Press.

Natalie has been praised for her down-to-earth attitude, particularly on social media where she often posts smiley snaps of her family.
