It has been another show-stopping day of racing at the 2023 Cheltenham Festival, after it kicked off in style on Tuesday.

The Queen Mother Champion Chase was the race everybody was talking about today thanks to the Energumene-Edwardstone dual in store. But it was Energumene who captured victory in style as he was confidently guided round the track by jockey Paul Townend to win for a second straight year.

Before that, Townend had also kicked the day off with a win, as he secured victory the Ballymore Novices' Hurdle with Impaire Et Passe.

The luck of the Irish continued in race two after Sam Twiston-Davies rode The Real Whacker to victory in the Brown Advisory Novices' Chase.

The Brits finally got themselves onto the board in race three, as the Skelton team secured the Coral Cup thanks to a hard-fought run from Langer Dan. But the Irish dominance soon returned thanks to Energumene's impressive outing and Delta Work secured the Cross Country Chase.
