Liverpool are enjoying a midweek without football as they revel in last Sunday's 7-0 demolition of Manchester United.

Another high-scoring game could be on the way this weekend as the Reds travel to Bournemouth in the Premier League, having smashed a breathtaking nine goals past the Cherries back in August. Liverpool's crushing victory over the Red Devils was particularly well-received by the daughter of Roy Evans, who had a few speculative bets on the fixture.

Elsewhere, Roberto Firmino's teammate has made it clear just how desperate he is for the forward to stay at Anfield as his exit looms. All that and more in the latest round-up of Liverpool headlines.

Evans' daughter nets four figures

Roy Evans' daughter, Stacey, cashed out an astonishing bet on Liverpool versus Manchester United for a cool £1,350.

Stacey chucked a fiver on the Reds to beat their arch-rivals 6-0 - among other successful bets - and made the smart decision to cash out "15 seconds before" Roberto Firmino scored the seventh goal. Stacey is the daughter of Anfield hero Roy, who rarely played throughout his time as a defender on Liverpool's books but worked as a coach under the likes of Bill Shankly and went on to manage the club between 1994 and 1998.

Mane compares managers

Sadio Mane has opened up on how Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann's approach is different to Jurgen Klopp's.

The Senegalese forward, 30, has played under Nagelsmann since bringing the curtain down on his brilliant six-year stint at Anfield working under Klopp. He won the greatest honours in English, European and world football with the Reds and explained how Klopp is an "emotional" figure who is not afraid to "shout" at his players.

Since making the switch to Bayern in a £35million transfer last summer, Mane has scored 11 goals in 25 appearances in all competitions. He may not know Nagelsmann as well as Klopp, but he has already noted that the former is a "calmer" presence on the training ground and in the dressing room.

Fabinho outlines Firmino hope

Fabinho insists Roberto Firmino should "stay at Liverpool forever" and hopes his fellow Brazilian could have a change of heart about leaving Merseyside.

Last week, news broke that Firmino would not be extending his contract with the Reds and instead will pursue a new challenge at the end of the season. Such is his loyalty to Liverpool, whom he joined from Hoffenheim in 2015, Firmino has not spoken to any other clubs about joining them this summer, his agent has claimed.

Fabinho shares a close relationship with his compatriot and has outlined his hope that Firmino, 31, may yet stay put at a club where he has earned legendary status.
