Kerry Katona blasts women taking period leave and says they should 'crack on'
Kerry Katona has blasted women for taking leave during their periods - saying they should "crack on".
The former Atomic Kitten singer has weighed in on the debate of female staff being able to take paid menstrual leave from work.
TV personality Kerry, 42, reckons women shouldn't take time off work when on their periods, saying: "We were talking about periods on my BBC podcast last week and I heard that Spain is passing a law to allow workers to take paid 'menstrual leave' from work."
"I mean, we've all powered through so far, haven't we? Keep hydrated, get some paracetamol down you and a heated pad for your stomach.
"I did three panto performances with Covid. I felt like I was dying but I kept going. But that's my work ethic, you've just got to crack on," she said in her New magazine column.

Unfortunately, the singer revealed she had an awful time after her daughter suffered a health scare.
Eight-year-old DJ became seriously unwell as Kerry was drying her hair.
"On the last day, I was blow-drying our DJ’s hair and she collapsed, with her eyes rolling back. It was the most terrifying thing ever," she revealed.
"Ryan picked her up and ran outside with her to get some fresh air, and she just sat there staring at me and throwing up. The hospital said her blood pressure had dropped as she was overheated and hungry."
Kerry said she couldn't wait to get on the plane home.
The TV personality has also opened up about her relationship with Brian McFadden, who is the father to two of her children.
They share daughters Molly, 21, and Lilly, 20.
The pop match made in heaven met on the Smash Hits tour in 1999, but things never really worked out the way they dreamed it.
The couple split in 2004 and Kerry went on to marry and divorce Mark Croft, the father to her children Heidi, 16, and Max, 14.

Opening up about her relationship with Brian, Kerry said: "The one mistake I made after splitting from Brian was jumping straight into a relationship.
"I was still heartbroken and I thought it would fix me, but it never works that way."
