My 600lb Life star who 'became a hermit' shows off 17 stone weight loss
Tamy Lyn Murrell admitted she "became a hermit" after her struggles with food addiction caused her weight to soar to 42 stone (591lb), but she has now turned her life around.
The My 600lb Life star struggled to move as a result of her weight and said she felt "miserable" living in her body.
Tamy, who first appeared on the TLC reality show in 2018, originally started to overeat when she was a little girl after tragically watching her father collapse and die from a heart attack.
Her mother also struggled with the sudden loss and Tamy said she felt as though she had lost both of her parents because of her mum's grief.
As Tamy's food addiction worsened, she began to find it difficult to get out of bed.

Tamy struggled with overeating since childhood (TLC/Youtube)"The first thing that happens every morning is I get out of bed and my stomach nearly hits the floor. It just hangs there.
"It is putting intense pressure on the rest of my body.
"My belly is sagging more and more, and it feels like I’m always off balance. Living in my body is miserable," she said during her time on the show.
During her episode of My 600lb Life, Tamy was seen trapped on the floor as she struggled to move.

The star decided to change her life around and sought the help of Dr Nowzaradan as she embarked on a weight loss journey.
Tamy underwent bariatric surgery which helped her lose an incredible 17.6 stone (246lb) and she's since been keeping up with her new diet.
She often takes to Facebook and Instagram to show off her new physique and share pictures of her healthy meal plans.

Another snap saw her dressed in an adorable floral yellow playsuit which showed off her legs. She wore a pair of comfy shoes and completed her look with some oversized sunglasses.

Tamy has also changed up her hairstyle since appearing on the TLC show and now sports platinum blonde tresses.

Tamy also shares loving snaps with her husband James.
Their relationship was originally rocked after James dropped the bombshell he had been unfaithful before she underwent surgery.
However, the pair worked through their issues and James ended up proposing to Tamy again in 2019.
