Every Premier League club's plans for last-gasp transfer deadline day deals

So the last day has arrived...the last day for Premier League clubs to bring in a player who will transform their season or perhaps get rid of a troublemaker.

The future of Moises Caicedo is likely to dominate transfer deadline day with the midfielder seeking a move to Arsenal and Brighton determined not to sell.

Chelsea are reportedly set to launch a last-ditch bid to land their preferred target, Benfica's Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez. Joao Felix, Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana, Mykhailo Mudryk, Andrey Santos and Noni Madueke have already arrived at big spending Stamford Bridge this month.

Elsewhere, Manchester City are not expected to be busy on deadline day despite the shock proposed loan move of Joao Cancelo to Bayern Munich. Similarly, Manchester United appear to have completed their business apart from the possibility of one or two fringe players going out on loan.

But what exactly is YOUR club doing? We've asked out Mirror Football experts...

Arsenal

Technical director Edu has had a busy transfer window - but wanted to do more to strengthen their squad.

They bought Leandro Trossard for £27m which is good back-up, £19m for Poland centre half Jakub Kiwior, they are pushing hard for a midfielder - they have had a £60m bid turned down for Brighton’s Moises Caicedo - and also tried to get Real Valladolid’s Ivan Fresneda. Youngster Marquinhos is set to join Norwich on loan. John Cross

Aston Villa

Boss Unai Emery wants to add an experienced striker to his squad following the £15million sale of Danny Ings to West Ham but he may do a loan rather risk a big fee.

Emery also wants Marseille’s former Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi but faces to a battle to get him out of his native France. Marvelous Nakamba is among those who have been told they can leave as Villa also aim to cut short Ludwig Augustinsson’s loan from Sevilla after the £13m addition of Alex Moreno. James Nursey

Bournemouth

Bournemouth could be fairly busy on deadline day as they wrap up some loose ends in a bid to stay in the Premier League. Matias Vina has flown in from Roma to complete his loan move while Hamed Traore is in advanced talks to join from Sassuolo.

Gary O'Neil may still jump into the market for an attacking player after they decided not to sign Nicolas Jackson - after his medical gave a worrying prognosis. Alex Smith

Brentford

It has been a quiet window for Thomas Frank's side. They have signed just one senior player in German striker Kevin Schade, who has completed a loan move from Freiburg.

The Bees are not expected to bring in any more players before the deadline. There were some rumours about Djed Spence, but the Tottenham defender is heading to French side Rennes instead. Ross Stewart was also a target for Brentford, but he suffered an Achilles injury against Fulham and is now set for a spell in the treatment room.

A quick note on Romeo Beckham, who is currently on loan at Brentford's B team. He is expected to return to Inter Miami shortly ahead of the new MLS campaign, which starts in February. Tom Blow

Brighton

Brighton appear to have won the transfer window again. They got £27m for Leandro Trossard despite his contract nearing an end.

They turned down £60m from Arsenal for Moises Caicedo and told them £70m isn’t enough. Meanwhile, they have brought in Yasin Ayari from Swedish side AIK for a bargain £3.5m and if he is anything like their previous business, they will be fending off £100m bids before long. John Cross

Chelsea

Few associated with the Blues will forget this January transfer window in a hurry, with Chelsea enjoying one of the most remarkable spending sprees in Premier League history this month.

David Fofana, Andrey Santos, Joao Felix, Benoit Badiashile, Mykhaylo Mudryk, Noni Madueke and Malo Gusto have all arrived on either loan or spectacularly long permanent contracts, yet there may be one more ace up owner Todd Boehly's sleeve.

Chelsea remain hell-bent on securing the signature of Benfica midfielder and World Cup breakout star Enzo Fernandes; even if it means parting ways with more than £110million to do so - watch this space. Josh O'Brien

Crystal Palace

Having not yet signed a player throughout the window, Palace could be in line for a busy deadline day. Naouirou Ahamada looks set to put pen to paper on a £10.5m move from Stuttgart and will give the Eagles’ midfield added steal.

Meanwhile, reports in Turkey have suggested that they are also eyeing a deal for Fenerbahce’s Bright Osayi-Samuel as an alternative to Manchester United star Aaron Wan-Bissaka. They were linked with the Red Devils’ right-back and former loanee Conor Gallagher but swoops for the pair appear to have been put on ice until the summer. Daniel Orme

Everton

Sean Dyche has already identified several targets, with the Everton owner Farhad Moshiri promising funds from the Anthony Gordon sale to strengthen his relegated haunted squad.

Chief priority is a striker to lift the burden off the shoulders of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has been a shadow of his former self. Kamaldeen Sulemana has emerged as a strong target, with the Blues moving ahead of Southampton in the race to sign the exciting 20 year old Rennes forward.

But don’t be surprised if he targets a midfielder too, with more grit required in the engine room if Everton are to stay up. David Maddock

Fulham

Fulham fans have been waiting all January for something to happen - with no arrivals so far - but their recruitment team is expected to be very busy on deadline day.

Serbian midfielder Sasa Lukic is set to arrive from Torino for £8.8million after agreeing personal terms, while Cedric Soares is close to finalising his six-month loan deal from Arsenal. Just like London buses, Fulham should make two signings at once.

There is also a chance Sander Berge could complete a £20m move from Sheffield United. The Norway international was left out of the Blades' squad for their pulsating FA Cup draw against Wrexham on Sunday, fuelling speculation. Tom Blow

Leeds

Leeds remain confident Jack Harrison will still be at Elland Road when the window closes despite growing interest from Leicester.

Diego Llorente is a shock departure, however, with the defender on his way to Roma.

Weston McKennie's move from Juventus is set to be finalised while Portuguese teenager Diogo Monteiro is also expected to complete his switch from Servette. Ian Murtagh

Leicester

Brendan Rodgers wants to make Stoke defender Harry Souttar his third January signing at Leicester after tabling a £15million bid. Australian international Souttar, 24, impressed for his country at the World Cup after on his return from a serious knee injury.

Rodgers wants Souttar to join Danish left-back Victor Kristiansen and fellow January signing Brazilian winger Tete at the King Power Stadium. There is plenty of interest in James Maddison but Leicester expect the England ace to stay this month. James Nursey

Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp has already given his answer on what Liverpool will do on transfer deadline day: nothing.

The manager made clear at the weekend his spending has finished for January, after splashing out £40m on bringing Cody Gakpo to Anfield at the start of the month. David Maddock

Manchester City

Pep Guardiola is not expected to be busy before the transfer window closes and believes he has a squad capable of winning another league title.

One piece of business he'd like to do though is persuade Barcelona target Ilkay Gundogan to sign a contract extension, while Joao Cancelo looks like he will go to Bayern Munich on loan, with a vewi to a £61m deal in the summer. Jeremy Cross

Manchester United

United had toyed with the idea of making a bid for England and Tottenham superstar Harry Kane, but will now wait until the summer in the hope of pulling off what would be a sensational £75m deal.

Erik ten Hag's main aim was to land Wout Weghorst on a short term deal, which he achieved. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire have been linked with loan moves, including Maguire to Inter Milan, but will remain at Old Trafford, although Anthony Elanga and Facundo Pellistri could be allowed to leave on-loan should the right club cub in for them. Jeremy Cross

Newcastle

With Everton’s Anthony Gordon and West Ham youngster Harrison Ashby having arrived in the past 48 hours, there will be no more permanent signings.

But Eddie Howe would like a replacement for Nottingham Forest-bound Jonjo Shelvey with the Magpies hoping to clinch a loan deal for Sheffield United’s Sander Berge. Ian Murtagh

Nottingham Forest

Steve Cooper says Nottingham Forest’s injury problems have forced him to try to be busy on deadline day despite 25 signings already this season.

Dean Henderson, Taiwo Awoniyi and Morgan Gibbs White are all injured. Jonjo Shelvey had his medical yesterday. A striker and a keeper are the two main areas being pursued, with West Ham’s Michail Antonio a target amid on-going talks for PSG's keeper Keylor Navas. James Nursey

Southampton

Every Premier League club's plans for last-gasp transfer deadline day dealsSouthampton need a striker to replace the misfiring Che Adams

Goals have been hard to come by for the Saints this term, so news that their £3m bid for Lyon star Moussa Dembele has been accepted will go down well.

Nathan Jones was always going to need to make some additions to give his side the best chance of survival and winger Kamaldeen Sulemana would help further boost their front line.

Mislav Orsic was a shrewd piece of business, but it remains to be seen whether these attacking additions will be enough to lift Southampton off the foot of the table. Josh O'Brien

Tottenham

They appear to be wheeling and dealing in the final days of the window. They nicked Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villarreal, Bryan Gil (never looked an Antonio Conte player) is going back to Sevilla.

They have been desperate for a new right wing back but missed out on Sporting Lisbon’s Pedro Porro and that could have implications for Djed Spence who could be allowed to leave on loan if they can get someone else. John Cross

West Ham

Following a dire start to the season, the Hammers have attempted to secure more Premier League experience. They made a surprise swoop for Aston Villa striker Danny Ings with Moyes being hopeful that he could score the goals to power his side to safety.

Brazilian defender Luizao also arrived on a free transfer from Sao Paulo. A number of players could follow the duo - none least Chelsea duo Hakim Ziyech and Conor Gallagher but there is severe competition for the two. Daniel Orme

Wolves

Wolves made Joao Gomes their sixth January signing in a £15million move and are now expecting a quiet deadline day.

Brazilian midfielder Gomes, 21, joins from Flamengo to follow Matheus Cunha, Mario Lemina, Pablo Sarabia, Craig Dawson and Daniel Bentley to Wolves amid a hefty £75m spree this month. Some of Wolves' young starlets are now expected to move out on loan following the arrivals. James Nursey
