Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts was told to "move" during an awkward on-air wardrobe error – and eagle-eyed fans saw it all.

The TV presenter, 62, was caught out by viewers after she was urged to begin some impromptu exercise while cameras were focussed her way – sparking dozens of comments.

She was sitting on the GMA news desk alongside co-hosts George Stephanopoulos, 61, Michael Strahan, 51, and Lara Spencer, 53, during the technology blunder.

As she appeared on screen, viewers couldn’t help but noticed a bright message displayed on Robin's wrist – as her Apple Watch was clearly desperate for some airtime.

"Time to stand! Stand up and move a little for one minute," the message across her timepiece read as the notification was aired in full.

It's one of the more well-known Apple Watch alerts that appears to urge the user to start some quick and easy exercise in a bid to keep fit.

Robin's poorly-timed alert came in just as the GMA presenters went to a commercial break.

Fans quickly took to Twitter after spotting the watch wake-up call, with one sending Robin a 'I like to move it' meme from the Madagascar films.

Sending the short gif including the Penguins of Madagascar, Robin was amongst the commenters and even replied to one, saying: "HA! You caught that!"

In another wardrobe discussion surrounding the hit-US programme, it comes after a meteorologist slammed a cruel Twitter troll who said she 'dresses like a streetwalker'.

Ginger Zee clapped back at the keyboard warrior who targeted the TV star on social media.

The troll Tweeted on Friday: "Ginger Zee dresses and poses like a retired stripper-turned-streetwalker."

"I have been missing these harsh disses on Twitter lately," she clapped back, alongside some laughing emojis. She added: "Thank you for the smile."

Penning the positive message alongside a snap of her stood proudly in a knee-length skirt, collared shirt, and sweater at the GMA studios, she added: "If this is what a stripper turned prostitute wears… I’m out of the loop."
