Brooklyn Beckham snubs family as he celebrates secret wedding anniversary with Nicola Peltz

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz further deepen the rift in their bitter feud with his family.

The couple celebrated the first anniversary of their second secret wedding yesterday – an event which none of the Beckham family were invited to. This was reported by The Sun

And insiders said Brooklyn, 27, and Nicola, 31, now regard this ceremony as the date they will celebrate – after their first wedding was mired in controversy, including claims that his mom Victoria “danced inappropriately” on him.

A source added: “Brooklyn and Nicola’s first wedding in April 2022 is not an occasion they remember fondly.

“Nicola ended up in tears. It’s not something they want to be reminded of.

“Their second wedding, where they renewed their vows last August with just her family and their friends, holds many happy memories for them.

“Going forward, they’ve decided that this is the date they will celebrate publicly together.”

Notably, Brooklyn failed to post an enthusiastic anniversary Instagram tribute to American actress Nicola this April.

In all the previous years since they wed, he had shared photographs from their 2022 wedding on his account.

His last post, in April 2025, read: “Happy three-year anniversary baby.

“I love you with all my heart.”

Nicola, who has never previously celebrated their official wedding anniversary on social media, yesterday chose to post a tribute to Brooklyn on the day they had their second ceremony.

She shared a photograph of them kissing and said: “Happy anniversary my love.

“You make life so beautiful. Thank you for being the most amazing husband I could ever dream of.”

Brooklyn shared his own tribute and added: “Happy anniversary Nicola.

“I can’t tell you how much I love you.

“You are my absolute princess and I promise to always protect you.”

Those close to the couple said Brooklyn and Nicola wanted to reclaim their special day.

A source added: “Brooklyn and Nicola are thriving now and they’re incredibly happy.

“Their second wedding last year was beautiful and couldn’t have been more perfect.

“For them, this is the moment they want to celebrate.

“It’s why Nicola chose to post about it too. It’s the first time she’s wanted to publicly celebrate her wedding to Brooklyn.

“They don’t think it feels pointed, it’s just honest.”

The Sun revealed last year how Brooklyn’s family, including his parents David and Victoria, were blindsided after he and Nicola held a second, secret ceremony.

Friends said Brooklyn’s family had learned about the service, overseen by Nicola’s billionaire father Nelson Peltz, after reading about it on an American news website.

An insider said at the time: “This was the final blow for David and Victoria.

“Seeing Nelson having such a pivotal role at the ceremony was heartbreaking for David especially. Not one member of the 30-plus extended family knew about the wedding or were invited.

“His grandparents are devastated too, as Brooklyn has always been so close to them.

“It feels cruel and spiteful. This is no longer a game. It has gone beyond all that.”

Five months after the second ceremony, Brooklyn issued a blistering statement saying he no longer wanted contact with his family.

In the statement, Brooklyn said he and Nicola looked back on their 2022 wedding as an “embarrassment,” adding: “I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness.”

He also criticized Victoria, writing: “My mom hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song.

“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”

Insiders said the Beckham family were left heartbroken by the statement, adding: “They were blindsided.”

Friends of David and Victoria also responded to Brooklyn’s version of events, saying Victoria had been “vilified,” adding: “It is deeply unfair and upsetting.

“There was nothing inappropriate about the dance.”
