Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz aren’t shy about splashing the cash after dropping £770 on a bottle of red wine to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The couple ordered the expensive bottle of vino as they enjoyed a meal out at swanky Matsuhisa restaurant in Beverley Hills, owned by celebrity chef Nobu, on Tuesday night.

A premium sushi selection sets you back $130 (£108) here and to wash it down Brooklyn and Nicola ordered a bottle of Chateau Mouton Rothschild.

Taking to his Instagram stories to share a photo of the pricey bottle, Brooklyn wrote: “Special day special bottle of 2015 mouton” with a red love heart.

Earlier on in the day, Brooklyn surprised Nicola with a huge bouquet of red roses shaped like a heart.

He presented them to his actress wife wearing nothing but a towel round his waist and a backwards baseball cap on his head.

In a gushing Instagram post, he told his almost 15 million followers how much he loved his “forever baby”

Brooklyn, who turns 24 next month, wrote: “Happy Valentine’s Day to my forever baby x I’m the luckiest man I get to have you as my valentines every year forever” followed by four love heart emojis.

Nicola commented underneath: “My forever Valentine! I love you so much!!

In her own mushy Valentine’s tribute to Brooklyn, the 28-year-old model and actress wrote: “Happy Valentine’s Day! Best day to wake up everrr.”

She added: “I love you so much baby!! I’m so lucky to get you forever!”

Later, the couple shared snaps of themselves all dressed up for their Valentines date night with their social media followers.

Nicola rocked a bit of an 80s vibe with big hair, leather trousers and a black bodysuit top. She added a touch of bling with a pair of huge diamond earrings.

Brooklyn kept his look casual in jeans and a white T-shirt with a blue sweater thrown over the top.

But some fans of the billionaire heiress were quick to crack a few jokes at Brooklyn’s expense in the comment section following his big romantic gesture.

"Next career move for Brooklyn …… Flower Arranger," one savage Instagram user quipped, referencing Brooklyn's multiple ever-changing career endeavours.

"Ok but why is he only wearing a towel but with a hat," another pondered, as the couple's pal Selena joked: "Lol he’s about to drop it!!"

But no matter what people say about them, it’s clear Brooklyn and Nicola are still madly in love almost a year after tying the knot.

The pair got married in a star-studded ceremony last April at Nicola’s billionaire father’s mansion in Palm Beach. Famous guests included Gordon Ramsey, Eva Longoria and Serena and Venus Williams.

Although it has emerged Nicola’s dad Nelson Peltz is now suing the wedding planners for $159,000 (£132k) alleged "mistakes" that occurred during their nine days working for the family.
