"Ibiza Final Boss" Jack Kay earns £2m after viral nightclub fame
A Geordie construction worker who went viral as the ‘Ibiza Final Boss’ has garnered a large fortune in just a year.
Jack Kay, 26, became an internet icon after being filmed dancing at a club sporting an immaculate bowl cut, oversized shades and a heavy gold chain.
In just one year after his now infamous video, Jack has pocketed around £2,000,000 from appearances and embracing his new persona.
He makes around £60,000 for each personal appearance and has managed to fly on private planes while hanging out with celebrities.
The Daily Mail found that despite his fame, his long-time girlfriend Alisha Cook, 24, broke up with him for his party lifestyle.
Her mum, Tracy Cook-Pine, 51, said: ‘She just wants to wash her hands of him totally because he just wants to be one of the lads.’
ack also has a five-year-old daughter from a former relationship, whom he’s been treating to a life of luxury.
Jack’s mum told the paper: ‘He’s got a daughter, she’s fine, my granddaughter, and he is giving her a life now, that he never had…holidays and things. He adores her. She lives with her mum.’
Earlier this year, he revealed he had earned £800,000 in the first six weeks after the clip went viral, when he was seen on stages including Creamfields festival in Cheshire.
Since then, he has netted another £200,000 from various appearances and promotional deals, according to a report in The Sun.
They include plugging goods and services on Instagram, for which he reportedly earns some £2,000 per post.
He also launched a line of ‘Ibiza Final Boss’ merchandise with fashion chain Boohoo Man in a deal reportedly worth five figures.
Jack has been seen enjoying the fruits of his stardom, including sightings in a £55,000 Range Rover SVR with the personalised number plate ‘BOSS BZA’.
But the father-of-one has said the biggest perk is being able to provide a more comfortable life for his family.
‘I’m trying to keep myself on a level head with it because I’ve got a little daughter back home’, he told Channel 4 for a documentary on his rise to fame broadcast in September.
‘I had nothing growing up so to give her the life when she’s older, she can have anything she wants, is just unbelievable.’
