Ghislaine Maxwell gushes as she recalls meeting the 'exceptional' late Queen
Ghislaine Maxwell has recalled how she met the “exceptional” late Queen in a gushing segment of her first TV interview from behind bars.
The convicted sex trafficker, 61, spoke to Jeremy Kyle about her admiration for Her Majesty in an interview while serving the first months of her 20-year sentence at a Florida jail.
Speaking on Kyle on his TalkTV programme, Epstein's former girlfriend recalled meeting the Queen and described her as “astonishing”.
“I thought that the Queen was one of the most exceptional women that I ever had the honour and privileged of briefly meeting,” she said.
“And I think anybody of her stature and the longevity of her reign and her elegance and her sheer capacity for dedication to her work and to her job, really.

“She radiated a warmth and a sparkle in her eyes that was just mesmerising, really.”
Recalling their meeting, the 61-year-old said: “The story that we shared was about horses because I like horses and she loved horses and we talked about horses briefly, I remember, and just shared a love of horses. And that was one of her great loves."
Name-dropping her famous friends, including former US President Bill Clinton, she went on to gush: “[Clinton] was one of the most interesting people I've ever met.
"He was extremely sharp and interesting.”
She also described him as "inspirational" as she spoke affectionately about famous figures.
Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence at a Florida jail for her involvement in Epstein's crimes which included luring young girls to his private island as well as massage rooms between 1994 and 2004.
During her interview with Kyle on Monday, Maxwell refused to apologise to Epstein's victims.
The convicted sex trafficker, 61, stated victims and women who feel betrayed by her "should take their disappointment and upset out on the authorities that allowed that to happen".
Maxwell went on to claim she hopes victims of her ex-partner Epstein's sex crimes have a "productive and good life going forward" when speaking with Kyle during a one-hour pre-recorded broadcast.

"And, as I said, I hope that they have some closure via the judicial process that took place.
"And I wish them, er.....time is ticking on and to be able to have a productive and good life going forward. And that's what I hope for them."
Maxwell's comments about the Queen came as reports emerged that Prince Andrew has amassed a £10million 'war chest' to launch a legal case against Virginia Giuffre.
The late Queen's son is said to want to clear his name after links to Epstein and Ghislaine - as well as accusations against him.
Ms Giuffre brought a civil case alleging Andrew had sex with her on three occasions in 2001 when she was 17 years old.
The 62-year-old has always denied all allegations and settled a US civil sex abuse case with Ms Giuffre outside of court for a reported £12million. The settlement is not an admission of guilt by Andrew, who continues to deny any wrongdoing.
But now it has been reported that he is seeking to clear his name after previously being “pressured” into settling the case to avoid overshadowing thePlatinum Jubilee.
Andrew has reportedly been given fresh hope after Giuffre, 38, withdrew a sex abuse allegation against US lawyer Alan Dershowtiz and admitted she “may have made a mistake”.
Elsewhere in her interview with Jeremy Kyle, Ghislaine told how she’s struggling to cope with the food in prison.
The convicted sex trafficker, explained how she’s struggled being and bemoaned the cuisine at her prison, telling how seasoning is banned and so her meals are “beyond tasteless”.
She told Kyle: "The portion control is very odd.
“And when like me you're on a no meat diet, you're supposed to have either hummus or cottage cheese or tofu for you but most of the time, I'd say about 95%, it's tofu if it's anything or beans.
“95% it's beans or otherwise you have a tofu substitute. And then the tofu has no seasoning, there's no seasoning allowed.
“No salt or pepper or anything. So it's beyond tasteless.”
She also told Epstein's victims to take their 'upset and disappointment' up with cops who she claims "allowed" the sex offender's death to happen.
The sex offender said she feels "completely divorced" from the Jeffrey that people often talk about since the notorious paedophile was outed for his horrific crimes.
"I say that Epstein died and they should take their disappointment and upset out on the authorities who allowed that to happen,” she told Kyle.
"And as I said I hope they have some closure by the judicial process that took place."
Epstein was discovered lifeless aged 66 in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Centre in New York, where he was awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
During her TV interview, Maxwell also explained how she regrets ever meeting her former boyfriend and claimed she had no idea he was "capable of evil".
