The Amy Winehouse biopic is set to recreate the moment she went to rehab, alongside Skins actor Jack O'Connell who will play her boyfriend, Blake Fielder Civil.

O'Connell, who recently starred in BBC drama SAS Rogue Heroes, was spotted filming scenes alongside actress Marisa Abela at London Heliport in East London.

Abela, who could be seen with Amy's famous beehive hairstyle and dramatic winged eyeliner, filmed scenes depicting the day the singer flew by helicopter to the £10,000-a-week Causeway Retreat rehab centre on Osea island, Essex, back in 2007.

The 'Industry' star was also seen for the first time sporting Amy's iconic collection of tattoos.

The filming location was the same heliport that the real Amy Winehouse used to fly to and from rehab in 2007.

English actress Abela, 26, has taken on the role of the late star in the biopic about the Back to Black singer's life in London in the early '00s and her rise to global fame.

Amy's loved ones have backed the project, with the late star's estate previously releasing a statement saying: "We are thrilled that Studiocanal, Focus Features and Monumental are making this movie celebrating our daughter Amy’s extraordinary music legacy and showcasing her talent in the way that it deserves."

The upcoming movie is set to be directed and executive produced by Sam Taylor-Johnson - best known for her work on the John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy - and the director has said she is 'excited and humbled' to be entrusted with such an important piece of cinema.
