Microsoft is investigating a second IT meltdown after millions of computers went offline less than two weeks ago.

Minecraft, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Azure are affected by the outage, according to DownDetector, which monitors IT outages across the globe.

Thousands of reports have been made since 1pm today, but the issue is yet to be resolved.

Outlook – the email and calendar system – is also down for users. People have also complained that they cannot access their email on the app or in the browser.

It is understood that the outage is only affecting Europe, rather than a worldwide outage.

Microsoft 365 said in a statement: ‘We’re currently investigating access issues and degraded performance with multiple Microsoft 365 services and features.

‘More information can be found under MO842351 in the admin center.’

People have already taken to social media to complain about the outage.

‘Nothing like a Microsoft outage in the morning to really get your day going,’ one used tweeted.

The company is currently grappling with the fallout from the CrowdStrike outage on July 19.

Airports, banks and supermarkets were among the major institutions which saw services disrupted due to a flawed update.
