Harry & Meghan jump on ‘perfect opportunity’ to fix relationship with Kate & Wills as world reels over Princess’ cancer

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have jumped on the perfect opportunity to fix their relationship with Kate and Wills, claims royal expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a short statement following Kate’s brave cancer shock announcement on Friday.

The pair said: "We wish health and healing for Kate and the family and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace." 

Kate, 42, revealed her health battle to the world in an emotional video message.

The royal said it came as a "huge shock" to her following further tests after her abdominal surgery. 

But the mum-of-three vowed: "I am well and getting stronger every day".

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun Kate’s diagnosis is the "perfect opportunity" for Harry and Meghan to mend their rift with the Waleses 

He said: "This is a dread situation, a major operation followed by cancer. 

"There is always sometimes in the most awful and serious thing sometimes opportunities come as well... one must hope there is as much positivity as possible that’s what she is spreading with the message like that. 

"This is also an opportunity for the trolls and the evil people spreading malicious rumours to be silenced."
