Misan Harriman has shared the original image of Harry and Meghan announcing their second pregnancy

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's photographer has unveiled the original unedited JPEG to dispel the Photoshop scandal surrounding the Sussexes following Princess Kate's photo-editing crisis.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Misan Harriman, the photographer who has frequently snapped the Sussexes, penned: "The original Jpeg without the black and white grade," alongside the original snap he shot of Harry and Meghan when they announced they were expecting a child.

He added: "No trees or meadows were moved or swapped, this is the image straight out of camera. Also that is a Jacaranda Tree, not a willow tree."

Reacting to Misan's post on social media platform X, one user said: "I'm sorry you have to deal with that toxic mess, but damn that's a beautiful image. Don't let anyone dim your light or talent Misan, the world is so much better off with you showing us it through your eyes." While someone else added: "Ridiculous you have to do any explaining at all."

This comes after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were accused of altering a picture they shared to announce their second pregnancy. It had been reported Misan added a tree into the background of the image.

All of this follows on from the Princess of Wales' recent Photoshop errors, which have been the talk of social media since it emerged that there were several doctored areas of a sweet snap she shared.

Princess Kate has recently been the subject of speculation while she recovers from abdominal surgery, with many social media users concerned as she had not been seen since Christmas.

But over the weekend, for Mother's Day in the UK, Princess Kate released a sweet snap of herself posing alongside her three children. But the sweet moment didn't last long when social media users spotted several "errors" with the picture. Princess Kate was then forced to apologise for her errors.

"Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing," Princess Kate said in a rare statement shared on social media following the backlash she received for posting the edited family snap. She continued: "I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day."
