Animal-lover Laura revealed shortly after Bonnie's birth that her beloved dog Buddy "must feel left out". She told fans at the time: "He's been a nightmare. Staying away from her actually but doing the toilet inside for attention. I've enough s*** to clean up. I spent a fortune getting a place with a terrace specifically for him. Any tips are welcome. I know he must feel left out but I just don't have the time..."

When her daughter was first born she shared an adorable photo of Buddy beside newborn Bonnie. One person reacted: "Get that bl**dy dog away from her it's all over the news about dogs [and] your doing this just can't understand some people one day it might be too late [sic]."

However many fans came to Laura's defence, with one writing: "People are so crazy my gosh some of these comments - don't like it don't follow." Laura responded to them, writing: "Poor buddy, he literally goes know where near her bless him."

Last week, Laura paid tribute to her daughter in a post on Instagram that marked International Women's Day. She shared a series of photos of Bonnie and wrote about parenthood in the caption that accompanied them.

She wrote in the recent post: "You have made me the woman I want to be. Happy International Women's Day to our daughters, our mothers, our sisters and our friends. Let's just be unapologetically ourselves and wing the rest."
