Meghan Markle's rise to fame started on Deal Or No Deal where she was a briefcase model.

However, despite appearing on the show over 30 times between 2006 and 2007, her time in front of the camera doesn't seem to have been a memorable one - for Howie Mandel at least.

Howie, who is now a judge on America's Got Talent, admits he doesn't remember the Duchess of Sussex's time on the hit gameshow. Howie was in the hosting role for the competition between 2008 and 2019 but confessed he forget Meghan had played her part in the production.

He admitted on the Good Guys podcast: "When I heard that she was on Deal or No Deal, I didn't remember her. I have a picture of her in my office … she's one of many of the girls standing behind me."

However, Howie insisted he didn't hold anything against Meghan and instead suggested he didn't remember ay of the models who appeared alongside him. He added: "Chrissy Teigen was also a Deal or no Deal model," before implying he didn't remember working with her either.

Meghan has previously hit out at her time on the show, claiming she felt the role made her act like a "bimbo". Speaking on her podcast, Archetypes, the former Suits star claimed all the women were told they must were false eyelashes and hair extensions.

She explained how they would also be given spray-tan vouchers to fit "a very cookie-cutter idea of precisely what we should look like." Meghan blasted: "It was solely about beauty and not necessarily about brains."

Meghan revealed how one of the women who worked on the show once told her to "suck it in" whenever she entered the stage and claimed the scenario felt very much a case of "all looks and little substance".

Meghan went on: "I was surrounded by smart women on that stage with me, but that wasn't the focus of why we were there and I would end up leaving with this pit in my stomach, knowing that I was so much more than what was being objectified on the stage."

Lucas Green, the Chief content officer at Banijay that owns the Deal or No Deal format, hit back at her claims in 2023. He insisted that he disagreed with Meghan’s assessment because he said the company is always “modernising” the game show format.
