You'll need sharp vision to solve this brain teaser.

When you were younger, you were probably told that eating lots of carrots could make you see better in the dark. And we hope you listened to your parents and kept up with your carrot munching because you'll need to use some enhanced perception skills to find the answer to this fiendishly difficult carrot-themed puzzle.

All you need to do is find the one veggie that's different from all the rest - sounds simple, right? Well, if you want to be able to call yourself a genius, you'll have to do it in less than five seconds.

Take a look at the image above. You'll see an array of carrots spread out on a yellow background. They're all at different angles, but they're all the same - long and orange with a tuft of green at the top. Well, they're almost all the same, anyway. Somewhere among the carrots is one vegetable that isn't quite as uniform as the rest, and it's your job to find it.

According to Jagran Josh, the "alert minds" among us will be able to quickly spot the odd carrot in as little as five seconds. So set yourself a timer and get hunting, and see if you can beat the very short time limit.

Don't worry if you don't find the carrot before the time runs out. Brain teasers should be used as a way to train your brain in a variety of different skills including logical thinking and perception, so even if you can't call yourself a genius today, solving the puzzle in whatever time it takes can help you on the path to greatness.

Found it yet? We're about to give you the answer, so if you're still looking don't scroll any further!

And if you want to try your hand at other brain teasers, why not give some of these a go? This one asks you to find three cats lurking in the family garden scene, while this one claims only 2% of people can find the hidden turtle in the messy bedroom.

There are also different types of puzzles you can try, such as this fiendishly difficult quiz shared by the question editor for BBC Two's Only Connect, or this maths equation that is said to be so tricky that only those with the IQ of Albert Einstein can solve it, or even this Who Wants To Be A Millionaire jackpot question that saw one contestant miss out on £1 million.
