CBB's Sharon Osbourne addresses Dannii Minogue feud and makes surprising comment

Celebrity Big Big Brother's Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh have addressed what working with Dannii Minogue was really like.

The wife of Black Sabbath star Ozzy, 71, and the former boy band manager, also 71, were judges on the ITV talent show alongside Simon Cowell and the Aussie singer. It's no secret that Sharon didn't get on with Kylie's younger sister, 52, with the mum-of-three once branding Dannii an "insect that wouldn't go away". But now Louis has revealed just how tense things were behind the scenes of the smash-hit show, while Sharon made a comment that might come as a shock to some - suggesting there's no more bad blood between her and Dannii.

Speaking to the housemates, who were all gathered around the table, he said: "Do you remember we'd be standing there, Sharon? You, me, Dannii and nobody talking." "That was so f*****g tough," replied the music manager, who confirmed it was "awkward" when probed by David Potts.

Clarifying the tension was there "every season", Louis revealed Sharon "would grab Dannii's hand" as soon as the cameras started rolling. "I grabbed her hand and held it like this [aloft]," said Sharon, who added: "And she's trying to get it down, like this". However, in a surprising U-turn, The Osbournes star then conceded: "She was alright," before Louis agreed, saying: "Yeah, she was alright."

Sharon's dislike of Dannii reportedly stemmed from the Under Pressure star's relationship with X Factor head judge, Simon. Dannii did not deny flirting with the music mogul, but she denied any relationship.

She previously confessed: "But that man could flirt with a book, a wall, anything." However, in the unauthorised autobiography, Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell, the father-of-one made a titillating revelation about his feelings for the Aussie singer. He revealed: "I had a crush on her. It was Dannii's hair, the sexy clothes, and the t**s. It was genuine love. I was like a schoolboy. She was foxy. She was a real man's girl. Very feminine."

Sharon said she quit the X Factor because she couldn't stand to sit next to Dannii, telling Piers Morgan's Life Stories: "I didn't hate her because hatred is very close to love and takes a lot of emotion and I don't have that time for her." She added: "She was like an insect, a mosquito that wouldn't go away."

She also wrote in her autobiography Unbreakable: "She had an uppity attitude as she was f*****g the boss. She clearly felt sh*****g Simon gave her vicarious power and it was so immature, not to mention deeply irritating to deal with."

For Dannii's part, she compared Sharon to a "school bully", writing in her autobiography, Dannii: My Story: "When I sat on the judging panel next to Sharon each Saturday, having seen her publicly destroy me on yet another television show or press interview that week, I felt as if I was back at primary school when I was forced to sit next to the school bully."

* Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
