Move over Bruce Bogtrotter, one woman has shown the best way to gobble down chocolate cake.

Grandma Tracey Webber recently went viral after taking on a gruelling challenge to demolish a 3,000-calorie gateau, weighing a whopping 2kg, in just 10 minutes. Sitting down at the Cattlemans Steakhouse at The Parkers Arms in Devon, the 52-year-old had her eyes set on the £25 reward, but quickly came across an unusual problem.

Known as 'Big T', the gran-of-five realised the chocolate was loosening her dentures and dampening her chances of success. So, she popped them out and gave punters a good laugh.

In hilarious footage, which has been viewed staggering 1.4 million times, Webber can be seen tackling the gigantic cake with blue food prep gloves before setting her false teeth on the table. "People burst out laughing when they saw them, they were hysterical," she recalls.

"I smashed the cake up in my hand, put it in my mouth and swallowed. That wasn't working so I chucked water and made it into a kind of milkshake. It was very sickly. I thought I was going to be ill half-way through but I just stopped thinking about it. I got through just over three-quarters of it. It was going everywhere - it was in my hair, it was in my nose."

Sadly, the gran was defeated by the challenge - which has only been completed by three people. Instead, she went home with the rest of the cake and a 'churning' stomach - but it hasn't put her off future challenges.

"I really enjoyed it, it was a really good experience," she added. "I paid the £25 fee, but it was worth it. I'm going to go for the mixed grill challenge next. I can't eat steak with my teeth so I'm going to fail that one too. I'm going to see if they can substitute the steak with something else."

Gary King, owner of Cattlemans Steakhouse, praised Webber for giving it her 'best try' and tickling fellow punters. "It's bringing a bit of fun into a restaurant, which could be boring and that's why we do it," he added.

"A lot of people are saying that 10 minutes isn't long enough but a pro eater did it in six minutes and 30 seconds.... People will say these challenges are wasteful but whatever's left at the end that's decent people take home."
