Prince Harry told Oprah Winfrey three years ago that he had hoped time would heal his fractured relationship with his brother, Prince William. However, it appears as thought their strained bond is further away than ever from being reformed.

Opening up to Oprah in their bombshell interview, the Duke had said he wanted time to heal his feud with his brother, but in reality he just made things worse with a number of outbursts and further allegations.

He told the talk show host at the time: "I was trapped but I didn't know I was trapped. I was trapped within the system like the rest of my family are. My father and my brother, they are trapped. They don't get to leave - and I have huge compassion for that."

When asked about his relationship with brother William, he went on to say: "You know, as I've said before, I love William to bits. He's my brother. We've been through hell together. I mean, we have a shared experience. But, you know, we're on different paths. The relationship is space, at the moment. Time heals all things, hopefully."

His love for his family was once again claimed in a recent chat with Good Morning America while he was in Canada. However, despite sharing his adulation, Harry has opened up further wounds with TV documentaries and his memoir, Spare, firing shots at his brother and family.

In his book, Harry took aim his family, accusing his brother of pushing him onto a dog bowl in a rage. He also targeted his stepmother Queen Camilla and sister-in-law, the Princess of Wales.

Despite his allegations, Harry is said to be open for a return to royal duties to help his dad, King Charles, as he deals with his cancer diagnosis. However, any permanent royal return is said to only be possible with Prince William's support.

Former royal butler Grant Harrold believes Meghan and Harry could eventually be welcomed back to the royal fold despite their years-long feud nut claimed William holds the keys to any reuniting. In a chat with New York Post, Harrold said he there was potential for a fix in the feud as he reminisced about how close Harry and William had been when he worked for the Royal Family. He also suggested it would be good for Meghan to return to the UK alongside Harry and their two children - Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
