Princess Charlotte is known for enjoying playing and watching sports - something many members of the Royal Family enjoy doing too.

The princess, and her brothers Prince George and Prince Louis, are all students at Lambrook School. It's where they joined after the Waleses moved from London to Windsor, and is close to their family home Adelaide Cottage. Pupils around the same age as Charlotte can go if their parents fork out £6,500 per term, with that rising closer to £7,000 once a child reaches George's age.

The Princess, who will celebrate her ninth birthday in May, has access to a wide range of extravagant sports facilities, as well as impressive resources for music and drama and of course a first-class education. The Lambrook website states: "Our facilities are second-to-none and include all-weather surface cricket, football, netball and hockey pitches, a well-equipped sports hall, a 25-metre indoor swimming pool, squash and tennis courts, dance studio, a nine-hole golf course and cricket squares of unsurpassed quality."

It's possible that Charlotte may be spending the most time in the sports hall, as she revealed her favourite hobby when she attended the Commonwealth Games with Prince William and Princess Kate in 2022. Chief executive of SportsAid, Tim Lawler, said: "She really, really loved seeing the swimming, but she's interested in the gymnastics.

"While they are trying lots of different sports at home, when I asked her about sport she answered very easily and said: 'It's gymnastics that I like'."

The three children all take after their parents William and Kate in the sporting department, especially their mother who was a keen sports player at school. As a student at Marlborough College, Kate played on the hockey team and to this day loves taking part in activities during engagements when she can.

She still enjoys playing tennis and going swimming, and was seen playing netball at a mental fitness workshop in Marlow run by Sports Aid and BelievePerform last October. Netball gold medallist Ama Agbeze saying: "Kate and William went with Princess Charlotte to the England hockey match. Charlotte was saying she wants to play hockey.

"When I’d met Kate before she’d said that she played netball so I said: 'She has to play netball, stop'. But it doesn’t matter as long as she plays sport, she can play every sport under the sun. It will be good if people take her lead."
