Kelly Clarkson looks slimmer than ever in high-slit denim skirt after 40lb loss
Kelly Clarkson showed off her incredible weight loss after claiming she walked off the pounds.
In a promo for the latest episode of her eponymous talk show, the 41-year-old looked sensational in a double denim ensemble, rocking a midi length skirt with a belt that highlighted her tiny waist, with a denim shirt finishing off the Western-themed look. She shared snaps from the set as she introduced guests singer Lainey Wilson and journalist Hoda Kotb. “TODAY is a great day! Our friend @hodakotb is here for fun and games with @laineywilson PLUS an epic Kellyoke duet, an amazing surprise for @nbcwashington Good Neighbor @isupportthegirls, and a visit from @nbcu_pup Atlas!” she captioned the snaps on Instagram.
Kelly lost 40lbs last year after relocating to New York, and revealed in an interview earlier this year that she was forced to make drastic changes to her lifestyle after being diagnosed by her doctor as "pre-diabietic". The mother-of-two told People she wasn’t surprised by the diagnosis, but didn’t do anything about it until two years later, when she ended up a single mother in a new city. She revealed she walks her dogs with her two children - River Rose, 9, and son Remington Alexander, 7 - whom she shares with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.

"We go walk the dogs a few times at the park. We'll go for ice cream because my daughter will wear me down. We'll go make slime and we go to the museum. Walking in the city is quite the workout," she explained. The American Idol winner also confessed to indulging in infrared saunas as well as splurging on a cold plunge tub "because everybody wore me down."

While the Since U Been Gone hitmaker is eating a varied diet, she’s not given up meat, and joked she never would. “I’m a Texas girl, so I like meat - sorry, vegetarians in the world!” she laughed.
Back in November last year, Kelly revealed during an episode of her talk show that she’s had a years-long battle with her weight, and has "had many stages" of putting on, and then losing, the pounds. "I love losing weight, but here's the thing. Jeans are so hard when you have a butt and a smaller waist," Kelly quipped.
