Everybody wants luscious long lashes without having to head to the salon, or painstakingly apply false lashes with glue.

It can seem like an impossible task to grow lashes, however, and with so many lotions and potions promising growth that you see online, it can be tough to know where to start in your journey. Everybody's looking for lashes they can just quickly apply a coat of mascara to and be ready to go, though.

Experts at False Eyelashes UK have shared a genius way you can grow your lashes without applying any products, however - and you don't need anything but your fingers.

The experts said it's important to "treat your eyelids to a daily 60-second massage" if you want your lashes to grow longer and thicker. It sounds too good to be true, but they said it not only offers relaxation, but it "boosts blood flow to the lash follicles, ensuring they receive essential nutrients and oxygen."

They recommended doing it "as you prepare to drift off into dreamland", and making it part of your nightly routine - perhaps just after you've done your skincare so you remember to do it each evening.

"This heightened circulation accelerates lash growth, gradually leading to a fuller, thicker fringe", they shared. "Moreover, the massage alleviates tension around the eyes, reducing the risk of lash loss due to stress."

If you're looking for other ways to promote lash growth, the experts suggest using coconut oil, or olive oil on your lashes. They recommended "Leaving the oil on overnight for maximum benefit, allowing it to deeply penetrate and nourish your lashes while you sleep."

Also, it's super important to always remove your eye makeup at night to prevent bacterial growth. They warned: "Leaving any residue on your lashes can result in brittleness, breakage, eye irritation, itchiness, and even infection. Likewise, it can encourage bacterial growth as makeup particles may transfer onto pillowcases and into your eyes, potentially causing issues such as eyelid cysts."

They shared you should use "gentle cleansing methods, utilising makeup removers specifically designed for the delicate eye area or micellar water, to ensure mascara, eyeliner, and eyeshadow are completely removed without the need for harsh tugging or rubbing."
