Liverpool moved four points clear at the top of the Premier League with a dramatic 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

Darwin Nunez scored a late winner in the 99th minute, which was allowed to stand despite Forest's protests that referee Paul Tierney had made an error in the build-up to the goal. Jurgen Klopp's side have now won their last five games across all competitions and will be desperate to continue their good form next week.

First, the Reds travel to the Czech Republic on Thursday to take on Sparta Prague in the first leg of their Europa League last 16 clash. They then host title rivals Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday in a huge top of table fixture. Here, Mirror Football rounds up the latest Liverpool news.

Liverpool eye Musiala

Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala has rejected the offer of a new contract, with the 21-year-old eyeing a move to the Premier League.

Musiala's current deal is due to expire in 2026 and the fact he has rejected a new £150,000-a-week offer has fuelled speculation he could leave the club this summer. According to the Daily Star, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea are all interested in the Germany international.

Both Liverpool and City both made scouting trips to watch Musiala in action against Bayer Leverkusen last month. The report adds that it will take at least £80million to persuade Bayern to sell the forward.

Salah request

Mohamed Salah is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, although Klopp has said it is "possible" the forward could return to action next week.

Salah initially suffered the injury at the Africa Cup of Nations in January, before suffering a recurrence against Brentford last month. As a result, Liverpool are being extra careful with their star man and have sent a letter to the Egyptian Football Association requesting that he be rested during this month's international break.

"We have already received a letter from Liverpool to exempt Mohamed Salah from the upcoming camp due to his injury," a statement from the Egyptian FA read. "It is our right to include any professional player as long as it is at the time of the international agenda, and the issue of whether or not to include him is in the hands of the national team's technical staff, led by Hossam Hassan."

Klopp's Nunez claim

After Nunez scored a last-gasp winner for Liverpool to move them four points clear at the top of the table, Klopp suggested an abusive chant from the Forest fans only spurred the forward on.

Home supporters branded Nunez a "s*** Andy Carroll" during the game and Klopp said post-match: "It was a great response to the song. They can sing it more often. That was super special.

"If you'd told me 12 days ago we would win all four games coming up, I would have said no chance, it was impossible. How we have four wins, I can't believe. Next Sunday (against City) would be a massive game anyway but before that, we play a difficult game in Prague. We have to keep going, recover."
