Strictly's Nikita shares sad goodbye post to co-stars ahead of CBB stint
Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin has shared behind-the-scenes snaps from the recent live tour - much to the delight of fans.
The 26-year-old dancer has been one of the professional dancers on the BBC show since 2021 and was a runner up last year when he was paired with 29-year-old actor Layton Williams. Over the past two months, Nikita and all the other Strictly pros - as well as a string of celebrities - have been performing across the UK as part of the annual Strictly Come Dancing Live! Tour.
And on Friday, the Ukrainian dance hunk shared some behind-the-scenes photos from his time on the road. He took to Instagram to share a stash of photographs - with ten snaps of him and his co-stars larking around together.
Sharing the photo dump, the star added the caption: “Missing all of these lovely people and happy moments... Last tour pics btw" - along with a sad face and emojis including a red heart and sparkles. The collection of photos included a snap of Nikita alongside fellow Strictly star Dianne Buswell, 34, dressed as Barbie and Ken and posing in a pink box. Another showed him cosying up to dance partner Layton as they both held glitterball trophies. While other snaps showed members of the Strictly professional dancer team gathered happily together.
The photos proved a hit with followers - with many taking to the comments section to praise the photography. Even Dianne commented on the images, writing: “miss your kenergy.”
Corrie's Sue Cleaver says I'm A Celebrity stint helped her to push boundariesOther fans remarked how nice it was to see the pro dancers socialising together. One fan wrote: “Love all these pictures, especially the 9th one it’s so wholesome. I really miss seeing you two together. #teamlakita for life.” While another typed: “Missing this so much missing watching Lakita dancing together. Think I’ll be needing to see a shrink soon.”
The Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour show concluded last month after kicking off in January. The stars of the show danced on stage across the UK hitting major cities including London, Manchester and Glasgow.
Now TV fans will see more of Nikita as he is said to be one of the stars taking part in the imminent new season of Celebrity Big Brother. News of his signing broke last week with a source claiming his part in the ITV show could jeopardise his future as a Strictly professional.
A source told The Sun: “This will send the rumour mill into overdrive, with some already suggesting he may not return to Strictly and is instead making the most of being a rising star. He’ll have been selected by CBB producers as an obvious heartthrob who can spice things up in the house — and maybe even spill some secrets from behind the scenes of Strictly.”
An ITV spokesperson told the Mirror, however: "Any names are at this point pure speculation and viewers will have to tune to see who will be entering the Celebrity Big Brother house." The new season is scheduled to begin filming on Sunday with the first show airing on ITV on Monday night at 9pm.
