Ivanka Trump and Mark Zuckerberg join Rihanna in India for billionaire's wedding
An eclectic mix of politicians, celebrities and Bollywood stars have arrived in India ahead of a pre-wedding party thrown by the richest man in Asia.
Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, and the former US president’s daughter Ivanka Trump are among the hundreds of famous faces set to attend the extravagant event. Magician David Blaine and numerous Bollywood singers are set to perform as well as pop sensation Rihanna, who recently touched down in India with A$AP Rocky.
The celebration is taking place ahead of billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s son’s wedding to Radhika Merchant, the daughter of wealthy pharmaceutical moguls, this summer. 1,200 guests, including billionaires from around the world, heads of state, and Hollywood and Bollywood royalty, are expected to attend the three-day pre-wedding bash which will take place in the family’s hometown of Jamnagar and start on Friday.

More than 100 chefs are being flown into cater and will prepare 500 dishes over the weekend for the star-studded guest list. Rihanna, who is set to perform on Friday, is bagging $5 million (£3.8 million) for a three-hour performance and has reportedly asked for her favourite chicken curry to be prepared for her arrival.

It is a jaw-dropping amount of money but when the Ambanis do something they do it big,” one source said, while another promised: “It's going to be as lavish as you can get.”
Industry tycoon Mukesh - who has a net worth of $114 billion (£90 billion) - is clearly sparing no expense on his son, Anant Ambani, and his big day. In preparation for the celebrations, the Ambani family have constructed a whopping 14 new temples in Jamnagar. According to The Times, the itinerary includes a luxurious cocktail party, a festival, and a wildlife walk with elephants, big cats and reptiles.

Thankfully, guests will have access to laundry services throughout the weekend and there will also be stylists and makeup artists at hand to make sure everyone is photo-ready.
On Wednesday, the festivities kicked off when the family launched a three-day feast for villagers in the city. Treating a whopping 51,000 local people to stunning meals for free.
