A McDonald's fan has turned his mum's kitchen into a replica restaurant - and spent £311 buying the whole menu.

Maks Majewski, 20, spent five hours transforming his mum's kitchen into a McDonald's restaurant by installing homemade banners, flags and bunting.

He then spent £311 buying the entire McDonald's menu - including a Big Mac, chicken nuggets and fries - which filled 22 bags.

Maks purchased a McDonald's uniform online and even managed to get the table numbers costing "a few quid" off Ebay.

Maks, a content creator from Kingston, south west London, said: "I blew up red and yellow balloons, made a burger and fries chain and set up a McDonalds banner across the wall. I filmed it because I just like adding fun to the household with crazy ideas that no one has done before and people love to watch it because it's entertaining."

When his mum, Anna Majewski, 46, a nursery worker and sister Julie, 16, got home they were shocked - and queued to be served by Maks. Previously Maks has covered his mum's kitchen in tinfoil and transformed the living room into a beach.

He added: "I got the McDonald's idea from looking at my previous videos and brainstorming while eating a McDonald's. I made all the decorations myself and as soon as everything arrived and went to New Maldon McDonalds and was there for around 40 minutes. People were looking at me strangely."

On January 24 2024, Maks posted the video which has since received over 700K views and 33K likes. "Each time my family come home they are scared to come back however they enjoyed this particular video and my mum said thank you for saving her some cooking," he said.

It comes after an eerie McDonald's was rediscovered at an abandoned naval base in the US - revealing some bargain menu prices lost to time. Adak Island, Alaska, was originally set as an outpost for Army and Navy bases during World War II, according to the National Park Service. But when the naval base was abandoned in the 1990s, many of the town's residents fled the area and businesses were forced to close down, Los Angeles Times reports. The food hub has been disowned ever since.
