Alice Evans, 54, has shown off her almost three-stone weight loss and recalled how she "didn't feel right" sporting a heavier frame.

The Vampire Diaries actress, who was declared legally divorced from ex Ioan Gruffudd last year, said she doesn't think weight is an important matter but for her, she feels better now she can fit into a smaller dress size following her weight-loss - telling fans she will let them know how she transformed her body.

Alice has been very active on social media since her split from Welsh actor Ioan, with whom she shares two children with. In January 2021, Alice surprised everyone by announcing on Twitter (X) that Ioan had left their family home in Los Angeles. The split between the former couple quickly turned bitter, with Alice often sharing erratic posts online in the wake of Ioan filing for divorce two months later.

Three years on from first announcing their split - and just one month on from her ex proposing to new partner Bianca Wallace - Alice seems to be feeling positive and happy - sharing a new selfie with her fans on Thursday. Captioning a snap of herself posing in a mini skirt, blazer and sheer scarf, the Blackball actress told her followers: "Back to this weight now. I don’t think it’s important, but for me it just didn’t feel right. I’m going to do a post on how I did it. Cos I lost around 40 lbs."

The mum-of-two added: "Oh and also those people that keep asking me about my scarves? Yes you’re right. It’s like an obsession. I feel weird when my neck is exposed - always have. I think it might be one I’d those weird childhood issue things? Like the Italians who are constantly afraid of ‘freddo allo stomaco’? For me it’s ‘freddo al collo!!’ Anyone else?" Fans were quick to compliment Alice on her weight-loss before the actress limited the ability to comment on her latest post.

Alice, 54, and her ex Ioan, 49, first met while filming 102 Dalmatians in 1999 and tied the knot in 2007. The former couple, who are parents to Ella, 12, and Elise, 8, were officially divorced on 3rd July 2023. Despite their divorce, their legal fight regarding the custody of their two children continues. In August 2022, Ioan secured a three-year restraining order against Alice.

Following his split from Alice at the start of 2021, Titanic actor Ioan went on to strike up a romance with 31-year-old Australian actress Bianca Wallace - with the two stars announcing their engagement earlier this year. They both posted the same picture on Instagram, showing off Bianca's new engagement ring last month. "The most precious thing happened..." they wrote under the picture, sharing their happy news with their fans.

Bianca, who recently appeared in Baz Luhrmann's Elvis, was diagnosed with MS when she was 25 in October 2018. She has said that the disease was "very aggressive in nature, it came on hard and fast. I was at work in accounting and I tried to pick up a pen and I couldn't." The NHS states that MS is a "condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord, causing a wide range of potential symptoms, including problems with vision, arm or leg movement, sensation or balance."

In 2022, Bianca shared with her fans that her condition means that she sometimes goes blind in one eye and has nerve damage on the right side of her body. "There was an initial shock, I can't really describe how I felt, I've never been able to put it into words, this is why I haven't spoken about it in the last three years as I don't quite know what to say," she explained.

She continued: "It has been the most confronting thing to be dealt in life. It's not something a 25 year old would have ever expected. I then tried to write with my other hand and I just couldn't. 'I was sent to the emergency room and from there everything changed. Within the next few weeks I couldn't walk anymore, the entire right side of my body was completely whacked out. I had to start a journey I wasn't ready for. You're never ready for a diagnosis like this."

Bianca shared how her now fiance Ioan supports her during health battles - telling The Telegraph she even gave her future husband a chance to leave if he thought the journey would be too hard. "Yo (Ioan) didn't hesitate for a second, listing all of the reasons he was in love with me and why he was here to stay, and that no MS diagnosis or scary future would deter him," she recalled. Bianca added: "When things are hard I sob to Yo about not feeling strong enough to face what is ahead of me, alongside the guilt I feel that he has entered into such a complicated journey."
