Cat Deeley's husband, Patrick Kielty, has posted a lovely tribute to his wife ahead of her debut on This Morning.

Cat will be joining Ben Shephard from Good Morning Britain to host the ITV show starting 11 March. Patrick, who is also a TV presenter and comedian, shared on Instagram how proud he is of Cat and said she is perfect for This Morning.

He posted a cute video with lots of photos of Cat, including some fun ones taken at their home. "I didn't know what a morning person actually was until I met this woman. She gets up every day with a smile on her face. A 5.30am, whistling in the shower, smile on her face," Patrick started his lovely tribute.

He went on: "Then downs two coffees, and gives you the look. The 'what the f*K's wrong with you, let's do this' look. It's not a pretend smile. And it's not just some mornings. It's every morning. Which is bloody difficult cos she's married to me. I should also mention she likes a chat. To anyone. About anything. Anywhere."

Strap yourself in @benshephardofficial And welcome to my world. We couldn't be prouder of you @catdeeley Go get 'em Mama!"

Patrick's fans were quick to show their love for the news about Cat hosting This Morning. One fan exclaimed, "Oh my gosh this is lovely. We've always loved Cat- she will be wonderful!"

Another chimed in, "Awhh she will be amazing love her!!!" Someone else commented, "I stopped watching when fern left, the next dream team .. gonna be immense." And another congratulated her, saying, "Congratulations Cat!"

Cat and Ben are set to start presenting This Morning on Monday, 11 March. They are the new full-time hosts of the ITV programme, taking over after a series of guest hosts filled in since Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield left last year.

Talking about her return to UK morning TV, Cat said, "This Morning is a national institution. Whenever it's on, it's like having your friends over - funny, smart, silly, heartfelt, informative and joyful - like all the greatest friendships!"

"This Morning is and always will be the viewer's show. Ben and I both know how much people love it, and with the help of an amazing team of people, we're going to do our best to take care of it," she continued.

Reflecting on her new role, Cat added: "I can’t wait to be a part of the team, from the crew and producers, to the brilliant presenters. I’ve been hosting solo for the past few years and I’ve really missed that sense of camaraderie, it will be great to be a part of such an incredible team."
