Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore has revealed his feelings about trading Justin Fields, stating that Fields is better than any prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Bears currently have the No. 1 overall pick this year but they face a difficult decision about their franchise's future. They only drafted Fields back in 2021 and he's just 24 years old. Despite his young age, progress for the team has been slow since his arrival.

In 2023, although only playing in 13 games, Fields had his best season so far and notched up five wins, equalling his total from his first two years. However, with the No. 1 pick, the Bears might choose a new quarterback. Caleb Williams (USC), Drake Maye (North Carolina), and Jayden Daniels (LSU) are all possible top picks.

If the Bears choose to use their No. 1 pick on a top quarterback prospect, they may trade Fields, who could be very successful with a different team. Moore, who only moved to the Bears before the 2023 season started, has made it clear that he believes in Fields.

"I still don't think they compare to Justin right now," Moore told NFL Total Access when asked about the incoming quarterbacks. Since joining Chicago, Moore has consistently backed Fields, even speaking up in his defence last December when there was speculation about his future.

"He's a dynamic player, dynamic quarterback," Moore said. "I mean, we want him here. I've been having a great year with him, so that should speak volumes. I just leave what they do (in the front office) upstairs at the end of the day."

Moore had his best year ever in 2023, catching more passes and scoring more touchdowns than he ever has before. He also recorded the first rushing touchdown of his career as the Bears found creative ways to get him the ball.

"The relationship jelled well from the beginning," Moore shared about his bond with Fields. "Since I got traded, he was in contact, and we started throwing together, so it made the transition into games and everything easy."

But Fields might be leaving Chicago. He stopped following the team online and said after last season ended. "To the City of Chicago, love ya'll. Appreciate the fans and the support from all the Bears, you know, and in case this is my last rodeo with y'all, appreciate y'all for everything."
