You can soon take on real-life Hot Wheels tracks on terrifying new rollercoaster
Anyone who played with Hot Wheels toys as a kid will no doubt have dreamt about actually getting into one of the cars and taking on the high-speed track with all of its loops.
Well, soon that could be a reality thanks to a thrilling new rollercoaster opening at Mattel Adventure Park theme park in Glendale, Arizona. The adrenaline-inducing Twin Mill Racer will propel fans along a 2,503ft-long track in 65 seconds, reaching 50mph in under three seconds.
But that's not all. The ride will feature corkscrew and hairpin turns, as well as TWO vertical loops, one of which reaches heights of 116ft. Basically, this won't be a ride for the faint-hearted! The best part is that it won't be the only Hot Wheels attraction at the new theme park, which is yet to open to the public.
Families looking for some high-octane fun may also want to take on the Hot Wheels Bone Shaker, where you'll board vehicles shaped like the iconic cars and then blast off 84ft into the air, diving into a double helix (essentially, two 360-degree turns). The park has also teased a 4D ride titled 'Hot Wheels Unleashed' although it's remaining firmly tight-lipped about exactly what to expect.
Although it's not yet been confirmed when the new Mattel Adventure Park will open, there's already plenty to get excited about. For example, there'll be one land featuring a real-life Barbie dream house, not to mention a host of attractions inspired by Thomas the Tank Engine. You can find out more on matteladventurepark.com.

One of the most highly-anticipated is Hyperia, Thorpe Park's new mega coaster which will be the UK's fastest and tallest when it launches. The terrifying ride will take thrill-seekers up 72m above the ground, making it the UK's tallest rollercoaster. Riders will then plunge down towards the ground at 80mph, with the park promising that visitors will "twist like never before" and "feel weightless".
Meanwhile over at Alton Towers, fans are eagerly awaiting the re-opening of Nemesis. Now called Nemesis Reborn, the entire 250-tonne, 716-metre-long track has been replaced and the beast that gives the ride its name has had a complete overhaul. The beast's eye, surrounded by sharp teeth, is brought to life with top-notch audio visual technology, showing its transformation into a predator.
There could be more fun coming to the theme park too, as the resort has applied for planning permission for a new attraction near Nemesis, measuring around 60ft high.
