King Charles III has "no relationship" with his grandchildren according to a royal expert.

Speaking in Prince Harry's new Hulu documentary commentator and author Robert Jobson admits his belief that there is simply no bond between the King and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 's children Archie and Lilibet. The claim comes after the young Royals have not been seen in the UK since 2022 when the late Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her Jubilee.

Talking in the exclusive Hulu show - Prince Harry's Mission: Life, Family and the Invictus Games - Robert says that there is simply no hope for a close relationship with the children due to the long distance between Charles in the UK and Meghan and Harry in the US. He says: "Unfortunately for the King, there is really no relationship between the King and his grandchildren because he hasn't had the opportunity to forge that relationship."

Robert explained his stance further adding: "Some might say that he should have made more of an effort and reached out. I know he spends a lot of time when he gets the chance with William's children, George, and Louis, and I'm sure he would spend as much time if he could if Harry and Meghan were based in England. But they're not. So, I just don't think there is any particular bond between them."

The revelation comes as part of the 20-minute release which centers around an exclusive interview the Duke Of Sussex gave to ABC News during his recent trip to Canada. The chat saw him open up about his father's recent diagnosis with an undisclosed form of cancer as well as his plans for the future.

The show dropped on Hulu today and comes despite Harry and wife Meghan's huge five-year deal with streaming giants Netflix which is worth a whopping £80million. It's not yet known if the move to release it away from the platform was officially okayed by Netflix.

Speculation over and renewal of Harry and Meghan's Netflix contract remains to be rife, and followers will be keen to see how the latest release affects either side's thoughts. A senior TV news producer told the Mail Online Harry will have had to know about the use of the interview and would have been required to sign a release form in order for ABC to make it into a documentary for Hulu.

There had been rumours previously that Meghan and Harry were hoping to jump ships and partner with Paramount Pictures, but Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria shut down such suggestions. However, a PR expert previously told the Mirror that Bajaria's backing was "fantastic news".
