Florence Pugh and Paul Mescal stirred up whispers of a romance between them as they partied the night away after attending the BAFTA Awards over the weekend.

They joined countless celebs at London's Royal Festival Hall for the famous awards show on Sunday night. After leaving a party at Covent Garden's Nomad hotel past midnight, Florence, aged 28, moved on to have a blast at another gathering at Chiltern Firehouse till the crack of dawn.

Joining her were other big names like Rosamund Pike, Lily James, Sacha Baron and Paul Mescal, with whom she now has rumoured dating ties. This is not the first speculation of them being a couple, as they had been spotted sharing a pleasant dinner in New York just the previous week.

Christopher Nolan, a British filmmaker, also won a BAFTA. He was named best director for Oppenheimer. Cillian Murphy, who played J Robert Oppenheimer in the film, was named best actor. He is the first Irish winner of this award.

Oppenheimer won seven BAFTAs in total. This is just two short of matching the all-time record of nine, set by Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid in 1971.

Da'Vine Joy Randolph took home best supporting actress BAFTA for her role in The Holdovers and was the only non-white winner in the acting categories while Emma Stone won best actress.
